The ambience at this Hotel is amazing. The Thomson reps who looked after us were all excellent. From the minute we arrived at Malaga airport we were really well looked after and we were impressed at the kindness and efficiency of the transition.
The trip to Gibralter with Cream Tea at The Rocks Hotel was very worth a visit and again we were well looked after .The entertainers especially Dolly who seemed to win the hearts of everyone were excellent. Kieran has a lovely classical voice and indeed all the entertainment was very professional and well rehearsed. All the staff across the board were friendly ,the rooms were cleaned very well and nothing was to much trouble with smiles from everyone in restaurant and pool bar and other 2 bars.
Our only regret was we did not book for longer .
Stayed for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year, loved everything about the hotel except the food. Poor quality ingredients, soup made from powder and tasted like dishwater, no evidence of a chef in that preparation. Not value for money at all .Gala dinner on Christmas Day ,thickest soup I have ever seen , gloopy mess, smelly fish smothered in sauce , the turkey was of the mass catering reconsituted variety( probably road kill) and veg were practically non existent. However the company was good and the wine was plentiful if you wanted it.If you like canteen food and never cook at home you'll enjoy the food here, masses of unrecognisable mayonnaise muddles on the salad bar.
Every other aspect of this hotel is excellent and the staff are first class.
Just returned from 7 nights at the Yaramar. The food was great, particularly the choices at the evening meal. The airport transfers were superbly managed by Thomson Reps and although it was a changeover period for the Thomson Reps at the Hotel - they were all superb. All this and great value for money - see you next year.
So thank you Darren (for the incoming transfer) and Neil and Laura at the Yaramar.
Had a lovely week here earlier this month. Lovely surprise on entering our room to find Champagne, water and fruit. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The bed and pillows were hard and the waterproof mattress cover was noisy so we took it off! The meals were ok, breakfast was good as was the salad bar but the dinners could be warmer and not cooked in so much oil. Neil, our holiday adviser, was great. He sorted out a couple of problems promptly and without any fuss, he even rang us after a trip to see if we had enjoyed it! The Thomson Gold entertainment was poor, have seen others who were far better. Found the price of drinks very expensive if bought out of happy hour. The flight was cramped but the in-flight meals were better than usual. The good points outweigh the bad points and we really did relax! Thanks Thomson.
everthing was very good the food the staff the hotel only too far from centre of town
