Hotel Lapad is situated overlooking Gruz harbour, a scenic location about 15 minutes walk to Lapad Bay and the local shopping area. The resort has an upmarket feel, is very clean and ideal for a relaxing break. Local attractions include a visit to Dubrovnik old city, a walk along it's walls, a cable car ride and various boat trips. This is not a place for people looking for lively nightlife and lots of daytime activity, but is ideal for a quiet, scenic break. The locals are very friendly and helpful.

We chose the Hotel Lapad because it was close to the Old Town. We found the staff friendly and helpfull and the food was to a very high standard. Plenty of different meats to choose from and dished up in small amounts, which stopped it from over cooking. We could not fault the kitchen or dinning room. We went on 2 tours, Montenegro and Bosnia, both very enjoyable. I would advise the tour guide to tell people to wear sensable shoes to Mostar, the cobbled streets are very hard on the feet and people wearing thin soles had problems. We enjoyed our tour, we were well looked after and would recommend it.

Just got back from a week's stay (half-board) at Hotel Lapad. It's situation was ideal for us - opposite Gruz harbour and very picturesque and only a short walk to the bus stop to Dubrovnick or the bars and restaurants. The staff were excellent, very polite and couldn't do enough for us, the food, considering it was a buffet was first class and the room and the rest of the hotel was definitely 4 star and not like other places we've stayed at recently. Quibbles - the pool was unheated, no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and we had to take 3 different lifts to get to our room! Also because it was so early in the season there was no entertainment in the hotel. We'd definitely consider going back there.
