I honestly don't know where to start with this hotel .. It was that bad ?!?! We arrived at the hotel on the 6/8/15 at approx 11.30pm and was surprised to see that everything was shut down ( bar, entertainment etc ) there was no option of and drinks, even coffee. There was some cold soup and bread which was covered with flies available if you wish to participate? We decided against it !! Once finally in the room it was disgusting... Pubic hair was everywhere in our bathroom & I mean everywhere ... Toilet, sink, floor & walls !! The beds were very hard and the pillows were like rocks. The floor, surfaces, bedding & towels were also dirty !! Day 1 - there were flies all over the buffet and nothing was wrapped or clean !! The tables, tablecloths & chairs all had food and stains on them !! The choice was very limited .. And I mean VERY limited ! There were very few sun beds and the kids pool was closed for most of the day. The floors & toilets were dirty, bar staff very rude and disrespectful to the point where I went to get a manager !! We all (6 of us) had BAD stomachache/ cramps/diarrhoea & sickness ... Which put one of us in hospital !! Which cost £400 !! The final straw was when we tipped a waiter for bringing us 1 round of drinks .. He was so rude and gave us a dirty look and literally threw the money across the restaurant!! This was all within 3 days at this hotel 😡 In those 3 days there's wasn't any entertainment that I was aware of & we all refused to eat there !! There were so many families who were complaining about the same things ... It was a joke !! Eventually things got that bad the Thomson manager Emma moved us to another hotel ... She was amazing and can't thank her enough as we really enjoyed the rest of our 2 week holiday at the "club Alize" which I would highly recommend!! I have no idea where the good reviews on here came from ??? Very interesting !! I've been to Turkey before all inclusive but never experienced anything like this hotel before ... If I can give you any advice ... Avoid this place full stop !!! More

Its clean and tidy , if a bit busy

The hotel is a three star at best but a good three star. Rooms cleaned every day. Maids work very hard. However the pool is a bit dangerous. The pool itself was a good size and the slides were good fun when open. It was a bit crowded with all the sun beds which had to be reserved at the crack of dawn or you didn't have one. Pool area was very very slippy round both the indoor and outdoor areas The entertainment team were fantastic thanks Coco, Tom, Shorty, Jerry, Ronaldo, Ginger and Martin . especially Coco's Fire show. One problem at night was queueing for drinks - they have two bars but only one is open with one person serving , the queues are massive making you miss all the show/entertainment. Most people did complian. Nothing was done. Food was a bit repetitive. However I would return. We also used 5m travel for all our trips. David marmaris gave us some cracking deals. And they are very close by. Saved a fortune on our tripsMore

John Y,

Very good

Reading the review it seems like a bad place just spent a week there and it was fab, entertainment team where very good and always tried to keep everybody happy. All very helpful and if we had an issue they would help resolve this. Rooms were clean, sun beds where always very busy but when the weather is this hot they are going to be with everyone wanting to tan and be near the pool. Hotel is far out but is a lovely walk down to the centre and the hotel provides a shuttle bus to all the places you would like to go. Also the after party at bar street with the entertainment staff made the holiday for us, brilliant experience of the night life. All in all fab hotel, and would like to thank berry for being so helpful and making us feel welcome #cocomademedoit 😊More

Anthony W,

Not sure why some people think this place is 'amazing'!!

I'll try to write a fair report.. When we arrived someone took our bags check in quick. Ask for water if your thirsty! Open the door to the room and thought yes lovely, it's a bit like one of our Travel Lodges. The next morning walk round the corner to the swimming pool was disappointed, as people have said it is too small for the size of the hotel, not enough sunbeds and they are squeezed side by side no space. We had to go down every morning by 7:30 to get a bed. When we would lay there even say by 10:00 you could see people looking annoyed where they could sit. The food is bad. We honestly are not fussy and go abroad alot and know what to expect but every meal time was hard to put a decent plate of food together. Customer relations is a joke and when I went to talk to her she talks all slow like she really couldn't really care less. The plus side, the rooms are spotless. We didn't have much to do with the entertainment staff, but they seemed ok. One waiter Fatih was very polite and helpful. All in all, like me you'll probably read this and think it sounds ok and you don't usually want for much anyway so you'll give it a go.More

Poor entertainment team

We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights Aug 15 with a family of 5, two teenagers and a son of 11. Our last holiday in Tunisia was 2 summers ago, and the entertainment team were fantastic, we expected much of the same after the reviews we read, but at this hotel they were very poor ! it makes you wonder where they come from. We ignored the bad reviews as we thought they were just moaners, but we should have taken notice. Food was very average, and breakfast Yuk ! Entertainment in the evening ? what entertainment, had a laser show that was ok, apart from that very very poor. The swimming pool slides were open 2 times a day with supervision at the top, but after it closes and the gates are locked, children are climbing over 6 at a time, and even coming down on airbeds with small children at the bottom. An accident waiting to happen, very stressful for responsible parents, but the staff just turn a blind eye to what is going on. Plenty of people moaning to each other about there experiences at this hotel, as we witnessed. I would rate the bar staff and waiters who worked very hard and were very friendly to us. Although we loved Marmaris we would never return to this hotel again.More
