Ali Bey Resort

This place knows how to impress, with a beach, a waterpark and à la carte restaurants among its standout features.

The pool scene here takes in a huge lagoon pool and a waterpark with a section for adults and another for children. On the dining front, there’s a Turkish à la carte and a romantic seafood place.

The hotel’s location is spot on for exploring Side, which is only 5 minutes away by bus. Lots of people prefer to walk there, though – just head out onto the beach and enjoy the 25-minute stroll.

Jorgest P,

AliBey Resort, Side Hotel Review August 2015

This was our first visit to Turkey and we stayed at AliBey Resort, Side from 31st July to the 8th August 2015. Excellent hotel, the staff were faultless and could not do enough for you. All restaurants were excellent; we dined at the Keyf-i Safa as it was my mother & father in laws 40th Wedding Anniversary one evening. We had fantastic meal and the service was excellent, the manager even arranged a celebration cake for them. The entertainment staff were great not too pushy but if you wanted to join in it was great fun. Tibau, Danylan & Tayfun were especially good and a credit to the AliBey entertainment team. I would also like to mention the waiter Ramuzana in the A la Restaurant he looked after us at breakfast everyday. He made a real connection with 2 year old son and even bought him a present on our last day which was lovely. The rooms are outstanding and an extremely high standard. The hotel cleanliness and general upkeep was second to none, the hotel grounds are beautiful and filled with the smell of fresh flowers. The only comment I would make is during August at your busiest time maybe another music bar should be made available as after the theatre show everyone comes to the Rumi bar and it was too busy. Also an air-conditioned bar would also be appreciated. Hopefully we can return to your beautiful hotel in the future.More

Wonderful holiday in a fabulous resort

We stayed as a family of five (myself and my husband, our two children and my sister) for 11 nights from 4 August. We've stayed in numerous hotels in Turkey and this was by far the most special. From the private transfers to and from the hotel to the airport, to welcome drinks and sweets when we checked in at reception, transport to our rooms and a bottle of bubbly and fruit platter to settle in with; we felt spoilt throughout our whole stay. Some people have said that it is not truly all inclusive - yes you have to pay extra for imported drinks such as whiskey, rum etc and the a la carte restaurants (there are two - Turkish fine dining which was spectacular and a fish restaurant which we didn't try; a €15 per person charge) but everything else was included and was super quality. The bedrooms are just beautiful with plenty of room, lovely beds, a jacuzzi bath, shower and restocked with fresh towels, flannels, bath miniatures, mini bar goodies and turndown service. The food in the self service buffet restaurant was fabulous. Plenty of choice, great quality and beautifully presented. The waiting staff were attentive, lovely and brought drinks around when they noticed we needed topping up. As well as the main restaurant there were also snack bars serving jacket potatoes, wraps, sandwiches made to order, pancakes and waffles...and more substantial lunch offerings such as fajitas, pizza, burgers, kebabs and salads...again, a huge choice of lovely quality fresh food. Branded ice creams and lollies and lovely local ice creams too. There were plenty of pools; I could swim lengths before breakfast in the fitness pool, relax at the over 15s relax pool, mess around with the kids at the Aquapark; which was well away from the main areas so did not disturb the quieter parts of the resort. The main pool was a big U shaped pool with small children's pool; we did aqua aerobics, pool games and just swam around. Bliss. We could find sun beds when we needed to and the resort never felt massively crowded at all. Only a couple of very picky negatives; the gym was payable on a weekly rate; if it had been a daily fee I would probably have used it a couple of times a week as I'm training for a sports event. And there were no bikes available to hire; we stayed at another hotel nearby last year and were able to go out with a bike guide to explore Sorgun which was lovely, but that was not available here. We only went to one evening's entertainment; a traditional night of dance, which was lovely. All the other entertainment was musical and just didn't appeal to us, but we gathered it was very professional. One thing I'd recommend would be the Pavillion hire; we rented a beach Pavillion for the day and loved it. It was so worth the extra treat for the five of us - as well as having a private area to lounge and sunbathe, we were on the beach for a refreshing swim, or the boys messed around on the inflatables anchored in the sea. We had a waiter who looked after us all day stocking our mini bar, bringing us drinks and two fresh fruit platters, taking our lunch orders and bringing them to us and at 4pm a bottle of champagne arrived; perfect timing as our daughter received news of her university place and so we could celebrate in style! We loved Ali Bey Resort, Side and will be back. And we were also excited to see that an Ali Bey Resort is due to open in the Maldives in 2017. Wow!More

Alibey Resort - Thomson Al a Carte

We booked this as part of Thomson Al a Carte holiday, this includes a private taxi transfer to the hotel, this is the first time we have used this service and was a little worried as what to expect, we shouldn't have been! exiting the airport in Turkey we found our thomson rep who directed us to reps desk, here we stated our name and destination, Thomson called out our hotel name and a private taxi driver jumped up from his seat and escorted us to the waiting mini bus, it was a 12 seater but it was only us using the service which made us feel special. a bottle of water was given to us as soon as we were seated and Turkish delight was presented to us on a plate, delightful!! the transfer time from Antalya to Alibey was 50-55 minutes - we landed about 10.30pm and arrived at the hotel by taxi as predicted at 11.25pm, here we were welcomed by Turkish cocktails and turkish delight by our Hotel and our rep was also there to meet us. booking in was quick and efficient, another benefit of being the only guests to book in at that time, the Thomson rep gave us our welcome pack and then we were "shuttled" to our room by means of golf buggy. The complex is very large and rooms are split into 12 blocks, each block holding about 50 rooms on three floors, we were room 944 and about 5 minutes walk from reception - 5-10 minutes walk to the beach, depending on your pace of course. it was past midnight by the time we entered our room, but this hotel offers late dinner service, so we strolled down a path towards the main heart of the complex, here we found friendly staff who pointed us in the direction of the food, although limited choice at this hour, steak and chips from the buffet did for me :) Out first day was exploring the complex, it has 5 pools, 5 bars, 4 snack eateries, archery. darts, mini golf, volley ball, and a PRIVATE beach 1/4 mile long. there is security at each end and we were questioned our first day to make sure we were residing at the hotel, this made it feel especially safe. The Beach beds are spread far apart so doesnt feel cramped at all, breeze was welcome and the sea was warm! the pools all have a kiddies pool apart from one, which is called the RELAX pool, this is adults only and no entertainment staff or kids will enter this area, so you can totally relax to the sounds of the soft water fall, the aqua park has two pools, one with standard kiddie pool and another with a soft sand filled pool, to make you feel like you are at the beach, ideal for toddlers! they also have 4 straight speed slides and two spiral tunnel slides, being a big kid, I loved them all there is a sensory pool, with flowing water, not for swimming but you can sit/submerge there and just chill, this is next to the SPA and also yoga area, the main pool is very large, 1.4mtr deep throughout, and again a kiddies pool, the pool bar is next to it and has a very friendly waiter service all day. lastly there is a heated pool, again with kiddies pool, not that we needed the heat this time of year as the temps were 31-34 deg C each day with water and sea temps about 28degC you also get issued with Beach Towel cards, so you can grab new clean towel daily, saves packing those heavy things! dont lose the cards or towels though, there is a 20EURO fine. The snack bars are great, the aqua park has a buffet style burger bar feel, although there is so much more choice than that, they have a patisserie near the relax pool doing waffles, crepes, icecreams, and freshly made sandwiches and rolls, very high quality, and the cakes there are beyond belief, I took plenty of photos and videos, its unbelievable!! also have a waiter service for ice cream and soft drinks. my favourite place to eat at lunch times, about 2pm was the Mehtabe Bar, the menu was great and it made a welcome change to the buffet restaurant, the quality of pizzas, burgers, fajitas, pastas, onion rings etc, available to order from menu was outstanding, the service was second to none in my opinion, and a special mention to Gokhan who looked after us each time we visited, my glass was never empty, he took the time to speak to us, get to know us, and I was genuinely pleased to have met such a friendly guy, he made our holiday that more special, thank you! the ALA Restaurant was the main focal point for day to day eating, breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food was buffet style but let me tell you, it was some of the best food I have ever tasted, yes, I have read people saying it was a bit samey samey, but I didn't have chance to try EVERYTHING they presented, and presented they did, beautifully!! starters, main courses and deserts... Soups, salads, turkish specialalities, gluten free diets, then different styles of chicken, turkey, beef, all manor of types of fish, all this food either grilled, baked boiled, fried, rices, pastas, pizza, bread, stirfry and OMG the SUSHI was tremendous, made there and then in front of you! so yes, it looked a little same after two weeks, but you could have any kind of combination and have a fresh new meal everyday! and very, very tasty! VERY The evening entertainment was located at an open air amphitheatre, this was consisted of musicals, such as lion king, Saturday night fever, beauty and the beast, dance acts such as madonna and michael jackson nights, quiz nights, neon party nights etc. although always different each night, the quality of dancing was great, but dubbed voice tracks and miming took a little away from the show, but this is a minor concern. in the evenings, my only down was we had no where to go where we could chill out, like a cocktail bar, in doors with air con, where we could find a table to relax, some quiet music on the back ground whilst we could chat and enjoy a drink or two. It was all open air, so swealtory nights made it uncomfortable at times, and listening to the discos or live bands didn't really help the ambience when I just wanted to reflect on the days events. the place is large enough to build something like this and I really believe it would be a great benefit if the did, I would certainly recommend it, and would sway me to return if they did. The mini bar in the room was stocked daily and had two pepsi, two orange drinks, two sparkling water, two still water, two local beer and one white and one red wine 275ml very good quality, I always took the red wine out of the fridge, leaving it our to warm to room temp, enjoying it on my return to the room which was cleaned daily to a very high standard, they were spotless!! The hotel offered some extras if you want them, they do sell premium drinks such as bacardi, bells whiskey etc - they do some free cocktails but they didn't appeal to me, but again you can pay for the higher quality versions, the beer and wine were perfectly fine to me. You can also book two restaurants, the otterman restaurants and the Fish Restaurant, The Otterman is old style Turkish cuisine and is highly recommended not only for its fantastic food but its service, for 15EURO each, its a steal, brilliant atmosphere and they explain the dishes to you as they serve about 7 courses! Im not a fan of fish or seafood but the wife is, so I treated her to the final night, this was only 10EURO each, this is open air restaurant over looking the sea and sunset, again the service was exquisite. The waiters work so hard, you see them at the breakfast tables and then again at evening dinner, my hats off to them! They also have an entertainment team, asking you to play volley ball, darts, football, pool games, I participated in a few, but most of the time it was too hot and I wanted to chill out, they were fine with this and understood, get to know them, they are all great guys especially Tibau, met him on our first day and everyone loves him, a great guy, loved talking to him and learning some Turkish, this also goes along way with the staff, so its well worth learning a phrase or two, hello, please. thank you etc Finally the Hotel eco policy, they have plenty of recycling stations throughout for metal plastics etc, they grow plenty of their own fruits and veg, you can see this as you walk around the grounds, lime trees, olive trees, mango trees, they also have their own farm, this is fantastic, also they have a cat sanctuary. A place for cats to eat, a "cat house" they are looked after really well, neutered and vaccinated. The hotel asks you NOT to feed them so they can control their diet better, if you do go, look out for the following cats who we names, see if you can find them. One Eye..a white cat and called this for obvious reasons, GINGE who is her best mate, always together, Mickey...her marking will give her away, Trinity (has three legs) Quadraphoenia (exactly the same looking at Trinity...but...) Slater...(grey coloured) Panther, black, rarely seen. One final thing, the unsung heros!!! at 3pm a guy or two comes round with a, a FROZEN towel, believe me, this is BLISS, when you are flat out, sweating, and you get this towel, and believe me, it frozen SOLId, its a god send, it really is, so thank you towel man. hopefully you will watch the walk though alibey (will add more as I upload)

Great Place

We have visited Alibey Resort in Side, Antalya with whole family including grandmother age 80 and handicapped, and two kids ages 6 months and 7 years. We have booked two rooms one is handicapped and the other one is deluxe room. The facility and whole resort was very well decorated and organized. Especially very suitable for handicapped people. After such a long time my mom had chance of swimming in the sea again. She loved it. Personnel was so helpful. The food were great. We did not had any trouble during dinner or lunch time. So many places to eat and so much options to choose. The beach was sandy and the sea was so nice and warm. Kids loved it. Booking my next year vacation right now:) More
