A wonderful holiday
We were here in september 2014.This is a great place for families, but we were just a couple and loved this stay. First we got a lovely apartment on two floors, but I´m having trouble walking stairs so I talked to the boss in the lobby and the next day we got a fantastic apartment on one floor on the second floor, overlooking the garden. Great place, great location and great staff. I´m going again to Parque Santiago in september and hopefully love it again.More

Lovely location, but most miserable ignorant poolside staff i have ever come across
I have quite a mixed opinion of this property at Parque Santiago 1.Having been to Tenerife many times and normally staying at hotels ,then this time I choose to privately rent an apartment as I had my sisters 3 young children with me and thought it would be easier.I was already familiar with the area so was pleased at the location, plenty of supermarkets, shops and bars minutes away. The apartment itself was clean and a good size with a lovely courtyard where the kids could safely play.My first gripe is that we had to pay for the sunbeds by the pool ,2.50 euro each per day for 5 people added an extra £100 to the holiday. The beds were held under lock and key until the miserable sunbed man came and took our money without as much as a smile, nod,or any acknowledgement at all.Quite a few times during my stay I witnessed the guy marching over to people who dared to sit on the ground to dry off after a swim and demand they pay for a sunbed even though at times the pool was about to close.Which brings me to my second gripe.....pool closes at 6 !!!!!!! On the plus side the pool bar/café is reasonably priced and the food pretty good and the guys serving very polite and helpful. The beach is a few minutes walk and depending where your apartment is there are shortcuts through private resident doors ,the only problem with these doors are that you can get out of them but can not enter them as they lock automatically but you can purchase a key from the reception ,so basically another hidden cost !!! I have read a few other reviews here and agree that the place is very residential and the security very strict. The courtyards echo and I kept telling the poor kiddies to hush up as I was scared of complaints. Just one more niggle at the sunbed man..lol...on my last day I went to the pool about 12ish and it was quite busy ,I found a space where we could have possibly squeezed in our 5 beds so stood patiently(as us Brits do) for Mr Happy to come along and take our money, after about 5 mins of waiting ,a Spanish family came and stood next to me ,shouted for attention and were immediately given sunbeds in the space I had been standing ..Arrrrggghhhh,the family were as pig ignorant as Mr Happy himself..i was fuming but had no choice to leave it as I didn't want a stand up argument in front of the kiddies so just accepted the sunbeds that were put for us at the entrance of the toilets !!!!! All in all,a mixed bag of opinions....would I stay there again??...im not really sure..Apartment was nice and location fab....just didn't like the hidden costs and the bloody awful poolmanMore

Stayed at Santiago4 last year and it was brilliant. Clean apartments, quiet just what we needed. Booked to go again this year. Nice pool and good security. Close to the beach shops and bar. Pools were very nice and getting sunbeds and a good spot was not a problem.More

Stayed at Parque Santiago 1,2,3,4 ðððð Parque 1 and 2 we have rented through owners direct and must say the pools are lovely pool bar serves fantastic food and great priced drinks all day . The private appts offer a great place for families and couples my children ages 17,15,11,7,3 were happy playing by the pool bar on the pool table and swimming pools are large enough to have fun in . I am not a beach lover but the beach is a 2 minute walk from the appts so if you do like the beach it is an ideal a place to stay. The appts are some of the best located on the island as you are right by shops restaurants and local bars . The Brewers droop is right near and a fantastic pub for everyone the acts are fabulous and everyone is welcomed. I now stay here every year and my family are all recognised by all the locals and are made to feel welcome a great place to stay xMore
DO NOT GO HERE, not holiday accommodation its residents only - The worst place I've every stayed in.
Currently staying in a lovely apartment 132, Parque Santiago 1. Can't fault the apartment lovely clean with everything you could need. The block however is horrendous. No noise of any kind is allowed, from talking to laughing. We are a family not teenagers out on the beer. We have had the door banged on by security saying that they are going to call the police because we were being too loud? The TV was on and we were laughing? Tonight the same security guard was waiting for us outside the onsite bar. He had already told 4 women that they were being inappropriate and that his family would never do this. (4 women with wine sitting outside laughing not loud just enjoying their holiday) he told my husband that he had already called the police twice about us this evening??? We were sitting have a chat with another family. No singing no drunkiness. Its absolutely absurd, awful, I cannot understand how these apartments can be offered as holiday accommodation, they are more like a RESIDENTIAL NURSING HOME, with silence signs everywhere. I CAN NOT stress enough how bad this really is, we are seriously thinking of going home, if it weren't for the lovely weather we would be back in the UK already. Appalled - been to many countries, stayed in many 1-5 star accommodations and I've never wanted to return home before, I just feel so sorry for my kids, who I keep saying shhhh to, they cant move, no inflatables in the pool, no ball games, no jumping in and then they charge you â¬2.50 a day each for a lounger so you can use the pool - please don't waste your money coming here.More
