The Sensimar Ibiza Beach Resort is set on the island’s quiet north coast, and looks over a pine-backed sandy beach.
This place has a sleek, contemporary feel. The all-white motif is livened up by neon colour pops, while rooms feature glass-fronted balconies and multi-coloured furnishings.
This pine forest-cocooned property sits on a hill, and steps lead down to sandy S’Arenal Petit Beach. A bonus of the hotel’s beachfront position is the sea views you get from the pool terrace and the restaurant.

Fantastic Hotel with Incredible staff😊
I just got back from a 4 night stay at this beautiful hotel with incredible staff who all work very hard. We arrived to a warm welcome from Wendy on reception who showed us to the bar to receive our welcome drink. She told us to enjoy and make our way back to reception once we had finished. We returned to reception where our check in was completed. A very special Thank you to Adalberto for the incredible room and wonderful experience. Our room was beautiful with an incredible view and was cleaned on a daily basis and lived up to our expectations. Portinax is small but very beautiful. This hotel is spotlessly clean. Modern glossy white furniture and colourful furnishings. The two swimming pools are beautiful. This hotel delivers on relaxtion but also has just the right amount of entertainment in the evening. Thank you to Edu the Bar Manager and the other bar staff,Andres,Jose,Fabio and Mehdi who were always on hand to fresh our drinks along with Nancy who provided me with my early morning coffee fix. Sonja,Alessa and Donna who are the Sport and Entertainment team were a joy to speak to and interact with. I especially enjoyed the Aqua aerobics taught by Alessa and Donna. These lovely ladies were always ready for a chat, even though they are super busy going from one sports activity to another. We had a fantastic time this was mostly down to the incredible staff!! Please ignore any negative reviews about this hotel as those that write them must be extremely hard to please KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK it is very much appreciated:) More
A Beach Lovers Dream - But not really for older guests
A very nice hotel hotel. Staff exceptional, food excellent and location perfect. We were allocated a suite above main reception, which was fine, but overlooked the road that splits the hotel in two. This does feel strange as the place feels like two separate hotels, each with its own pool and restaurant, although you can obviously use any. The bed was probably the hardest we have ever encountered, and took 3 attempts and 3 toppers to get comfy enough to sleep on. The settee however was so soft it was hard to get up from! However this aside we couldn't fault the Hotel or room. The brochure pictures of the hotel show some lovely sea view rooms, but this only represents about a quarter of the rooms they have. In the hotel room information book they state "Chinese proverb - If you want a sea view room then book a sea view room!" Obviously a recurring complaint. We found the hotel and beaches were populated by the late 20 early 30 age bracket, and there wasn't much to do if you are not a beach lover (We are late 40's and like to explore). No trips on offer apart from sunset cruises, waterparks and hippy markets and no real walks to go on as the resort is quite small. A Taxi into Ibiza town is quite expensive but defiantly worth while. We did go on the land train to some caves and would recommend that. So all in all, we found it very nice hotel and resort, but not targeted to the middle aged or elderly age groups.More
The worst experience of a Sensimar resort ever
My advice is don't book a holiday to this resort. Staff are miserable, rude and unhelpful. Food is disgusting. NOT a true Sensimar experience. Feel totally ripped off. We decided to hire a car in the end just to avoid the 3 meals a day. not an all incusive. More like slop food available when the staff could be bothered. TUI reps sat around drinking booze rather than attending to the guests. Had a great time in Ibiza despite the horrible hotel and service. I'd never be seen dead at this establishment ever again and also put me off Thompson Holidays as a business. I'd rather stay at home and eat toast and watch day time TV. Utter waist of 2 grand. Avoid like the plague. Check out the filthy, greasy glass around the pool area. emailed the CEO of TUI who has not been bothered to respond. Gutted.More
Wow wow wow. What a ten days. What a hotel. The staff are amazing. From reception to the bar to the restaurant to the cleaners. Never seen a team of people work together so hard and with a smile. You don't need to ask for anything They anticipate everything for you the food and rooms are top notch. A special mention to Thomson Rep Jenny who I never seen passion from a rep ever before. Her knowledge was second to none as well on everything to do round the island. If you want a chilled no frilled holiday away. This is def the one. To be honest I was scared before coming because of some horrible reviews I had read. But boy was I wrong. Everything completely different from what I heard More
I give it 5*
We stayed at the TUI Sensimar Portinatx from the 2-9th September. We had rooms 133 and 138. Lovely clean contemporary rooms overlooking the gardens. Very quiet. This hotel is spotlessly clean. Modern glossy white furniture and colourful furnishings. The two swimming pools are beautiful. In recent years we have stayed in RIU hotels in the Caribbean and cruised on TUI cruise ships and we would rate this hotel 5 star. All the staff are polite, friendly and work very hard to give you the best service. The food is excellent. They have cooking stations in both restaurants. We were All Inclusive and tended to have breakfast and lunch in the Italian restaurant which overlooks the beach. We had dinner in the Gourmet restaurant. The food choice is extensive and caters for all tastes. Drinks on the all inclusive package included bottles of wine at the table, red, white, rose or cava. The cocktails were lovely. We liked aperol spritz, and cava sangria. They also serve Jamesons whisky as part of the AI. The entertainment was the best we have experienced at a hotel. On one night we had a British ‘Take That’ tribute band who also entertained and joked, they covered other artists including the Bee Gees. They were excellent singers. There were lots of opportunities to dance throughout the week which we like. Our Thomson rep, Jenny, was excellent. It was our daughter’s birthday on the 3rd and she organised a bottle of cava to be placed in their room. The following day was our 52nd wedding anniversary and at dinner the staff brought over cake for us with a 52 candle on the top. The setting is spectacular. Right next door to a lovely beach which you can reach down the steps from the infinity pool area. Please ignore any negative reviews about this hotel as those that write them must be extremely hard to please.More
