From the food to the attentive staff, there are plenty of reasons why guests keep coming back to the Seaside Sandy Beach Hotel year after year.
The popular Seaside Sandy Beach Hotel has a prime postcode, five minutes’ walk from both the beach and the centre of Playa del Ingles.
A highlight at this place is the private hot tub terraces, which you can hire out for an afternoon. Up on the 10th floor, they offer up panoramic views out to sea.

Amazing hotel with lovely staff. Food is amazing at this destination. There is a great buffet selection ranging from steak to pasta to ice cream. There would be something which would suit you in this lovely location. It is a great place which is a 5-10 minute walk from the beach and there pina coladas are something to right home about. Clean bedroom with a twin bed so you don't actually have to use the same blanket as your friend which makes things a little easier for you. Has a hairdryer and kettle facilities. Shower is also really well function-able. There is no complaints about this stay More
A disillusioned review!
We were greeted at reception with no complimentary cava and were not offered to have our luggage taken to our room, contrary to previous reviews. We had emailed and requested high rooms looking out towards the sea and bars or hopefully a room in that region. We arrived at our room; it was positioned on the 7th floor (which from the inner side of the hotel is only level 4/5 depending if you take the lower amenities area as a floor). The room was adjacent to a fire escape and at the far end of the horseshoe. Thanks to the management who appear to have totally ignored our email request. After a couple of days of people staring in at us from the fire escape which is regularly used for access we asked to be moved, we politely said that even if we had to wait till the end of our first week it would be fine if we could then have a room with the outlook we had expected. We were told that there were going to be only 2 rooms available for the following 11 days and that it was up to us to decide to take the room or not. A room on a lower floor and in the middle of the hotel behind trees was the best we were offered; we took this because at least it least it was a little less public. Why were only two rooms becoming available in 5 days in such a large hotel? There could be only one answer, this German hotel group were keeping the select rooms for there own nationality guests so would not release them to us and give arriving guests a lower standard room. I have read reviews on the hotel where people have mentioned this bias but I did not believe such behaviour would occur at any hotel. I was wrong to disregard the comments. The next problem here has a bearing on all non smokers; the restaurant area was set out in 3 areas, there is inside non smoking seating to the left and non smoking outside to the far right corner. In the middle where everyone has to pass to collect and take back to there seat his or her food is the smoking area. Does the management here in 2017 think people want to passive smoke in the restaurant every time they collect their meals. Would it not be better to put the smokers in the far right corner away from the food and away from clients who do not smoke, it is not rocket science, overall the food in the restaurant is excellent but after inhaling a lung full of nicotine the food is some what tarnished. And the sun bed ritual.... We spent most of the time on the beach but decided one day to spend the day at the pool, after seeing everyone waiting in line to gain the best sun bed I thought I would get there early so I was close to the front of waiting clients in the sun bed queue. When the flag was raised I got to the first two sun beds that appeared and placed one towel on the first one, then reached to drop my towel on the second, when a towel was thrown over my shoulder to try and gain control of the second bed and try to claim both. An aggressive guest then was acting very inappropriately trying to claim the beds. Apparently as we found out later he claimed the same sun beds everyday, which I understand, but this sort of behaviour you would expect would only happen in a school playground. I must of upset him by being there first and claiming his prize. After claiming our beds we decided to move because we could not be bothered with such childish and loutish behaviour and unnecessary tension on holiday. Please find a better sun bed reserving process, this is totally inadequate. It is only fair to mention positives as I have said food is good with excellent range of dining times. The private sun terrace was very good although not sure why you have to pay for room service if you require extra drinks on all inclusive package but get free service if you are paying for drinks. No one has mentioned this before, this is worth knowing, 5 Euros a time is not cheap, but it was no problem, I collect my own. Room was adequate not amazing, lovely shower area and big enough space for me. The beds were okay, but not the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in. Staff are amazing, helpful, efficient and do their jobs impeccably, we were always impressed. Just to add I hold German guests in high regard. We holiday regularly in Jandia, Costa Calma and Maspalomas with lots of German guests who are normally better behaved than the Brits and a delight to converse with. I’ve even had a holiday Munich! Any criticism is not aimed at them. All guests add to hotel profits and should expect equality between all the guests. Hopefully this review will be helpful to holiday makers and hotel management alike….thanks for the stay.More
Returned on Monday from a week at this hotel. First time in Gran Canaria and found this hotel to be in a great location with only a few minutes walk to the beach and bars/restaurants. When we arrived to the hotel we were welcomed with a glass of cava which was a lovely surprise. The check in was quick and easy and our cases were taken to our room a short time after getting into it. We were in room 328 and found this room to be really lovely and clean, spacious and had a nice view out to the pool area and sun terrace. The food at the hotel was great, at first we thought the buffet area was small compared to some other hotels we have been to but it was filled with lots of different choices and the food was delicious and fresh! They did a different theme each night to the cuisine which was good as the food can get a bit boring and the waiting staff were very attentive and friendly too. We never seen much of the entertainment as we mainly went to the pool bar where there was a singer two nights in the week but what we did see was good ( a flamenco show, a musician and some live bands) The only thing I would have to complain about at the hotel was the que in the morning for sun loungers. Each morning there would be people waiting from 7:45am/8:00am until 8:45am when they let people into the pool area waiting with their towel and bags so they could reserve sun loungers now I don't have a problem with getting up early and waiting at the pool to get a good lounger but unfortunately I was nearly knocked over by a very rude lady who actually RAN to get a lounger. I thought this was ridiculous as there were plenty loungers around. I also witnessed many people reserving loungers in the morning, going for breakfast then not returning until the afternoon. this is not OK. there should be a rule of only being able to reserve loungers for more than 1/2hrs then towels should get removed as many people couldn't get a lounger by the pool or on the sun terrace as greedy people were reserving them for far too long and not using them. I really think they need to enforce taking away towels and allowing loungers to be used after an hour or so as it is unfair to go all the way on holiday for the sun and not be able to make the most of it.More

Lovely Hotel - good location!
Our first time at this hotel and was impressed. Good Points: - great location, just minutes away from supermarkets, beach and huge "Yumbo" shopping centre which contains bars, shops and restaurants - comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms, tea and coffee making facilities, mini-fridge, (even have choice of mattresses!) - friendly and knowledgeable staff - great food selection/quality - complimentary use of pool towels - FREE Wi-Fi Not So Good Points: - sun lounger reserving at poolside is an issue - hotel only has one restaurant which I personally thought was too small and gets congested and we always queued for a table when we ate there - guests smoking in the dining room which I didn't like - suggest booking All Inclusive as drinks and food is expensive otherwise - 2 Euro charge per day for use of in-room safety deposit box - WHY??? Having said the above. I would love to stay at the hotel again and will definitely recomend to anyone considering staying there - happy holidays!More
