Loverly hotel, great location and fantastic staff.
Great hotel in the perfect location for the night life of Benidorm. Check in very smooth and efficient, room cleaned every day to a very high standard, ( my wife is a cleaner, so I know what she's talking about) staff so friendly and helpful and the best food we have had in over 35 years of traveling abroad. Pool area loses the sun in the afternoon, but just in time for happy hour. Lush hotel will defo be returning.More
We got back to the U.K Yesterday after a weeks stay at the Ruidor. When we first arrived we did have a bit of a shock when we realised we were two of the youngest at the hotel however after spending our first night in the bar we made lots of friends and realised how lovely and friendly everyone was! The room was spotless and was cleaned daily by the friendly staff who also always said hello to us when she saw us in the hallway. The reception staff were helpful and the bar staff were great! They said hello every time they saw us and asked how our holiday was going. The entertainment was ok, our favourite was the acrobats. It would have been nice to have more acts like the acrobats as other than that there were just singers who were singing songs from way before our time. The food was great and varied, we both found something we liked each day and the desserts were plentiful, only downside is putting on weight ð more puddings then we have ever eaten. The only thing we found difficult with the hotel was the noise from the black chicken and that side of the strip. We are a young couple however with the jobs we have, we came for a relaxing holiday where we can also catch up on sleep. We did request with Thompson to be put on a higher floor and they said this was fine however when we got there we were only on floor 2 and they did offer to move us to floor 3 but we would have had to wait 2 days and we didn't think one floor would make much of a difference. We were very lucky that one older couple staying at the hotel approached us at the beach after noticing we were on floor two (where they had previously stayed) and offered us some ear plugs! Every guest we spoke to was friendly and kind, one couple in particular were like our adopted grandparents. The pool was very clean and the area was nice. When we first arrived there were so many beds free however towards the end of the week a few more younger people started to arrive and beds were being saved at 7am so we spent our last day at the beach instead of the pool! The pool is FREEZING! But if you can brave the first few minutes it's then lovely and cool to swim in :) For our first stay in Benidorm this place was perfect and overall we had a fantastic stay and will definitely be returning to the Ruidor again in the future this time with ear plugs ð¤£! First time visit
Our first time visit .... in the heart of the action ... The hotel itself is very nice ... 8 floors with the top 4 refurbished .. we were allocated room 510 which was nice .. it was opposite the lifts .. upgrades were available to get a kettle , dressing gown , slippers , the use of the fridge and safe ... but didn't seem worth the extra costs ... we just paid â¬3 per day for the safe . It seemed silly that the fridge was in the room and working ( but locked ) but â¬3 per day to use ...... some refurbed rooms have baths , some showers , ours had a shower ( I,d have preferred a bath ) as the shower was very high and sprayed out too far , it could do with it lowering or putting on a slide up and down bracket .All inclusive was also available at â¬14 pp per day . We overlooked the Black chicken karaoke bar !!!! The bar itself wasnt too bad , but the noise from the people outside was terrible ....we did ask to be moved , but the unfriendly male ( Mr miseable ) receptionist wasn't very obliging, said we,d get noise wherever we swapped but there wasn't any thing else to offer us apart from room 509 , next door lol . It wouldn't have been too bad if we could have put the air con on and closed the patio doors , but they don't start air con until 1st May , it was suggested to us to buy a fan ? A nice receptionist on evening shift did try and move us to the top floor on opposite side .. which was available , but apparently it was being held for someone who arrived on the Thursday ? Room 817 .. nice corner room , we did look and we're prepared to have paid the upgrade !! The walls are very thin , we could hear every word of next doors tv at 7am in the morning .. plus he constantly coughed and we could hear him being sick . As there was lots of bars around we didn't use the bar and entertainment in the hotel , but it looked like the entertainment was good . The pool area was ok ... and still the brits even in April but their towels out before breakfast to get prime spot and use the disabled entrance to get back into the restaurant ...The food itself was very good ... always hot and plenty of variety , even though some people were moaning .... we found it very adequate.... service was very good and the food was replenished very fast ... The restuarant manager was very nice and friendly . It would have been nice if people would adhere to the dress code ... Overall a very nice hotel ... brilliant location if you don't mind the noise , but I don't think I,d return for various reasons ...as the nice receptionist said he wished he could pick the hotel up and move it to a little less noisy position it would be perfect ... I,d say to the owners , look at putting the air con on earlier so the doors can be closed to block the noise out ..... and give Mr Miserable a lesson on customer relations , it would have been nice on departure if he,d have said a goodbye , hope you've had a pleasant stay and hope to see you again . Like most hotel receptionist do ðMore
Excellent location and very good value
Stayed in a Club room on full board basis and on arrival our room was not ready. I'd emailed the hotel in advance with a room location request but it had not been granted. When I mentioned this to the check in staff they immediately reallocated to what we'd requested which was greatly appreciated. Club rooms have been upgraded and are nicely decorated with comfortable beds, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and safe all included. Our room overlooked the Black Chicken karaoke bar but as we'd taken earplugs this did not disturb us at all, in fact we slept well every night. We did not spend much time in the hotel at night so can't comment on the standard of entertainment. Food was of a good standard well presented and prepared with good variety. The hotel location on the strip is ideal at this time of year (January) but may get a little too loud in higher season. Would stay again.More
2 weeks of a very enjoyable Holiday
We stayed here on the 11th to the 25th March 2017 and had a really good 2 weeks the room was very clean and although it was on the small side it was adequate for us the bathroom was spotless as was the room and beds which were really comfortable we arrived in the afternoon in time for lunch so we unpacked and went down for lunch which was very good restaurant manager was very good and everything was hot and well presented and the staff were there as soon as things were running down with fresh food to replenish the tureens anything spilt was cleaned up right away the Gala dinner was excellent and well worth the effort of Dressing for Dinner. Staff I found to be some of the best there we had a slight mishap in our room where a mop bucket was spilled and bleach went on three items of clothing this was reported to the Tui rep and within less than 24 hours things were rectified to our satisfaction and the hotel could not apologise enough and it was an accident and Carmen and the hotel manager was very very fast at sorting it so we could not fault this hotel and I will be using it again in the not too distant futureMore
