Hotel Rio Park

You'll find stylish, modern décor at this popular hotel, along with easy access to Benidorm's main strip.

This imposing building might look like a typical Benidorm hotel from the outside. But, thanks to a refurb, inside it's all funky retro-style sofas and contemporary cream lounge chairs. The big pool is one of the highlights.

Location-wise, you're in a quiet road less than a 10-minute walk from Benidorm's major bars and restaurants. And when you want to hit the sands, Levante Beach is a 15-minute walk away.

This hotel is part of our 3T favourites range until April 2017.

Rio Park Benidorm

Just spent two weeks in the Rio Park with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed it.We didnt have one of the upgraded rooms but it was all right, the maids were in every day.The food was fine and the bar prices were ok.The entertainment staff worked hard to keep everyone happy and put on some good shows along with some good tribute acts.We have stayed in a 4 star hotel in Benidorm and it was nowhere near as good as the Rio Park. Will certainly be back.More

Central location

***Rio Park is centrally situated and is right on the 'Yellow Brick Rd' which leads to the beach. It's a 20 minute walk to Old Town (well worth a visit) and 15 minutes walk to Rincon beach area which is quieter. *****Evening entertainment at the hotel is excellent. *Getting a sun lounger is very difficult because people lay towels on them late evening or at the crack of dawn. You can get a lounger on change-over days (Tues & Sat); if you are quick. *Music by the pool area is extremely loud and goes on all day till 12am, every day. **The terrace is a quieter area to sit but it is a smoking area. ***Food at the hotel is good. ***Rooms are cleaned every day and fresh towels supplied. Rooms on 2nd floor (not sure about other floors) were being completely refurbished and drilling carried on till 10:30pm several evenings and the smell of glue permeated the corridor; something that was not mentioned by a Thomsons at time of booking. Chris R,

Great hotel, fantastic location, fabulous staff!

I returned for 2 weeks this year, and I actually can't believe some of these reviews which complain about the standard of entertainment, the food, and the cleanliness of the rooms. I have seen some changes since last year with the ongoing upgrading of the rooms, etc., and bearing in mind that this is rated a 2 star hotel, I wonder exactly what they expect for their money!! I personally did not have one of the upgraded rooms, but my parents who had the adjoining room did, and it was very nice. The rooms are cleaned every single day and fresh towels provided, and bed linen was changed every couple of days. Yes,the food could be a little repetitive, however there is a huge variety and there was always something to suit the fussy folks. As for the entertainment, not only does the hotel provide some really popular acts from the circuits, Ashley and his team are absolutely brilliant! The bar is anything but over-priced and the staff are fabulous so if you didn't get a smile from them, I can only assume there was no attempt made to engage them in any communication. As for the issue with the sunbeds, yes, I would agree, the English are beginning to behave like the Germans! And the thing is, there is no need - there are more than adequate sun loungers to go around however during my visit, I saw one English 'gentleman' reserving 5 out of the 7 parasols at the poolside with his loungers and towels at 3 a.m. No need, and extremely selfish. Reserving one would be acceptable but come on, 5?!! I don't know if it was due to my review last year, but the complimentary bottle of wine delivered to my room, and one for my parents who accompanied me this year following my recommendation, was a nice touch. As last year, I could barely get my 13 year old granddaughter out of the hotel to do anything, she loved the entertainment programmes and participated in everything she could. I also had extended family who were staying elsewhere during our visit but who elected to spend a great deal of time at Rio Park because their hotels were not as good as ours, but were rated higher, and were more expensive........next time they will be booking into Rio Park with us! For a grossly under-rated 2 star hotel, as Arnie says, 'Hasta La Vista (Baby), I'll be back!More

The best 2 star hotel in benidorm

Stayed here for 5 days from 13th to 18th of July and had a great time.Food was nice there were plenty of sunbeds to choose from and the rooms were fine. Only one gripe was the staff allowed people to put towels on sunbeds at midnight the night before to save them for the next morning. But all in all a great 2 star hotel.More
