Blend in with the locals for a traditional Greek breakfast or enjoy a home comfort of a cooked English breakfast the choice is yours. The Apollo also has a variety of traditional dishes and fresh local seafood for lunch and dinner.
The reviews on TripAdvisor were all very complimentary about this hotel and this is why we made our choice - had I read Disappointed!!!! first I would not have booked.
Agreed the rooms are the best feature - ensure you get the quiet ones at the back though. The room we had 307 was large and the bathroom nicely tiled - however the size of the shower cubicle made it very difficult to shower properly and yes the floor did get flooded.
Breakfast was poor not even OK, typical continental with greek yoghurt - tinned fruit and some fresh and other meats and cheeses etc - but seemed like the hotel was trying to do breakfast on the cheap.
The cooked breakfast you had to pay additional for.
The picture of the hotel in all the literature looks like a full size pool, be aware photos can be deceiving!
As the pool bar was not manned and only opened during certain hours, it did not make us want to sit around it - in fact I think we did once and as we chose the hotel because of this it tells you something.
Bjorn's bar - if only there was a Bjorn!! - the bar is a fake bar with empty bottles laid out on it and no bar person to serve you, you can get a drink if they spot you and get the drink from the bar inside - not sure what they have as it's hidden in the corner.
This bar has so much opportunity to be busy - it does look good, but you have to invest in the staff to accumulate people who drink there - a real missed opportunity.
Agreed - in every other hotel I have been to there is someone behind reception to meet and greet you, the glass screen office is simply not customer friendly - I see the response from the manager - I suggest you empty the glass office and manage the reception area from reception - again another missed opportunity.
I am sorry to say that we did not feel welcomed by the staff - generally ignored us.
It is very over priced for what you get when booked via Thomson - you could get the same in Santorini or the more popular islands easily.
We wanted to try a new Greek island and this hotel did not do its bit to make us want to return, it's a shame as we'd so looked forward to going.
Remember you need to pay extra for A/C and Safe - 100 euros for both for two weeks.
Not sure where the gym was - again this is something we had wanted to use - on-line did not note the 5 euro fee, so we did not look into using it as by this time felt fairly let down.
This hotel has so much potential but it needs a heart (agreed disappointed!! - and we couldn't find it! Invest in some excellent bar staff - you will see a return - as least do this in the high season!More

This hotell made our vacation the best ever! The owner is realy nice and service minded. All the staf is always very polite and helpful, we always got a smile from them and they asked if we needed something. The hotell is very clean. It's Greek breakfast and there is what you need and a little bit more...
The location is perfect. Nearby a minimarket, bakery, restaurants, shopingstreet, and not far away from the ocean.
We will definitely go there again!!!More

This hotel is in a great position for Thassos town, only seconds away from the sea front. The rooms are average with poor quality bedding and towels. The bathroom was very nicely tiled, although the shower unit was quite small, and the bathroom floor flooded with each shower. Breakfast was ok, typical Greek, We tried the pool on two separate days but were quite disappointed with it. The sunbeds were shabby and could do with replacing. The parasols were too fine to protect from the hot July sunshine. There was no one available at the beach bar to buy drinks from so we went over the road to the local supermarket. There is a Bjorns bar at the front of the hotel but we never saw anyone behind the bar able to serve, so not quite sure why it is there. The reception area is a strange one. A huge area which seems to be used as a storage area rather than a welcoming reception. The staff were tucked away behind a glass screen and not sat behind the reception. It just seems to be lacking any heart!!!! I think it is overpriced for what you actually get.More
Booked a standard double room with a pool/garden view. Stayed in room 208, lovely big balcony overlooking the pool. Room was basic but quiet & comfortable, firm bed, ok bathroom, small tv, air con, fridge. Big plus point was the fly screen which allowed you to keep the balcony door open and the midges out. Didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that. Lovely pool and very friendly staff. Good location, within easy walking distance of the many local amenities.
Take some insect repellent, there were biting insects around when we were there.More

Good Hotel, lovely holiday.
The Pegasus is in good location, just two minutes amble from the main area of shops & very many good restaurants. Yannis runs a very good hotel & is helpful if asked, as are the other friendly staff members.
The rooms are comfortable & kept clean & our Shower room etc one of the best we have seen.(Room 102) I am guessing but would imagine most others are very similar.
The breakfast is more than sufficient, but extras are available at a small charge if required. Yogurt, honey, fruit, bread cheese, cold meat etc etc is all I need, but eggs, bacon etc is extra & cooked freshly when requested. Dinner is available upon request. We stayed in one evening & it was lovely.
The Pool is a nice size, clean, & also quiet. The bar area where breakfast is served is handy for a nice cool one in the shade, if you need a break from the sunbeds around the pool.
The bar at the front of the hotel is handy before venturing out on an evening or for the last one before bed & for watching the world go by too I suppose.
What more to say? I would not hesitate to return to the Pegasus, when we return to Thassos & that is as definate as possible too (in 2017) all being well. Lovely holiday Yannis, thank you. Very lovely island too, I hope it & the rest of Greece survive the current difficulties & recover fully.More
