Atlantica Imperial Resort

The Atlantica Imperial Resort is in a really scenic spot. It's flanked by cliffs and pulled up against the sea. Better still, Kolymbia's Blue Flag sand-and-shingle beach is right on the doorstep, and you've got the bars and tavernas of Kolymbia town within a couple of minutes' walk.

Outside, a large swimming pool winds its way through the grounds. There’s a whirlpool bath, too, set among raised rockery. And thanks to the property’s seafront position, you can unwind within earshot of the waves. Best of all, the hotel is part of our Thomson Couples range, so the surroundings are child-free.

As for the bedrooms, they’ve been painted in soothing shades of cream and terracotta. For an added touch of luxury, plump for a beachfront Junior Suite – these come with muslin-draped four-poster beds and dark wood furniture.

Easter break

Lovely hotel, staff and met some lovely people. Staff so pleasant, kind and helpful. On arrival was welcomed with champagne and cases were taken to our room.We upgraded to superior room with sea view and it was magnificent. The only down fall was the pebbly beach and the entertainment. There seemed to be a musky smell in a very basic , uncomfortable seating entertainment room. The 'town' was rather run down and like a ghost town.Maybe because it was early season.More

Atlantica Imperial Resort

We have just returned from a 1week stay with Thomson. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are very well kept and the staff are really good. The rooms are spacious and like previous reviews, on a late arrival on the first evening we were supplied in our room with a bottle of wine sandwiches and fruit. (One tip, the red wine is pretty awful!!!!) All the staff were friendly and attended to our needs exceptionally well. Alexandra serving in the ballroom in the evenings has an excellent memory and kept the drinks lined up. The food was of a high standard every night and desserts were too numerous to mention. The choice of drinks was good considering it was all inclusive, but give the red wine a miss!!!!!..... The reception staff were very helpful as we had a leaking shower head, this was put right straightaway... We also requested soft pillows and a sawing kit... Nothing was to much trouble.... The resort was very quiet at this time of year, but there are shops and bars close by which were opening up. The bus to Rhodes and Lindos stops outside the resort and are worth a visit. Bad points at the hotel....25 euro charge for safe in room........No service for drinks on the sun beds around the pool... You have to get your own from the pool bar..... No water sports equipment was available during our week. Evening entertainment was generally quite good with the Beatles and Abba tribute bands along with the hotel duo. However, the night was brought to an early end as the Thomson entertainment rep has no idea of how to keep the dance floor packed..... The Thomson trips seem very expensive and I would suggest renting a car from Rodos cars (3 days from 66 euros desk in reception hall). We paid 105 euros for a day trip for two to Lindos and Rhodes town....So quite a saving to be made if you are up for driving...... Now for the joke at Rhodes airport...... You have to queue to get your cases weighed.... and then you have to queue again to put them through the scanner yourself.... (Now don't quote me but I can not see the logic!!!!! If you are overweight and not wanting to pay the 14 euro a kilo charge... just put the over weight items in a carrier bag and then pack them in your case while you queue again for the scanner....) Once that is done you go upstairs and queue again for passport control..... We only had five Thomson flights leaving around the same time... I hate to think what this will be like later in the year... There is no Tannoy system announcing the flights so make sure you know when and where your departure gate is!!!! If there wasn't loads of other places to stay in the world we would definitely return to this lovely hotel. So don't panic about the hotel its is really lovely...Enjoy:)More

Very good hotel

This must be the first time of having paid a full price for what is described as a 5 star hotel and finding out that it is. The hotel was very clean the rooms large and airy with the most wardrobe space I have ever seen and a large bathroom. The food was very good and always hot with many different options. The staff were attentive, very helpful and very friendly. The only drawback that I could find was the mosquitos, I still itch 2 weeks later.More

Great Hotel!

As goods as the reviews suggest : Food, staff, rooms , facilities all very good! There's not a massive amount of activities or entertainment laid on, but what there was was fine and enough for us as we were looking for some chill-out time. Definitely would go back to this hotel if returning to Rhodes - the staff and food were the stars for me!More

Bryn J,

3rd time here this takes resort takes some beating

Firstly I have to say that the utter chaos at Rhodes airport on 5th April was completely the fault of Thomson, all those flights arriving so close together and the panic of the reps at the airport resulted in the mess we witnessed. The knock on effect was the number of people arriving at the Imperial at more or less the same time, That cannot be the fault of the Resort contrary to some views. I travelled In a group of 4 and queued for no more than 25 mins to check in , though there was a long queue behind me. I did though manage several glasses of champagne so no issue there. I think the resort handled the pressure much better that the airport reps!!! The resort did not disappoint, it was my anniversary and my wifes retirement and I must thank Athanasisos for his help in making our stay so enjoyable. It was great to see Paras and Alexandra again they are great people and a credit to the Resort. There were new sunbeds and new outside seating for the entertainment, shame we went a little early so didn't use it in the evenings. Due to the early season and cooler nights the outside dining area wasn't in use much and this did cause queues but I could live with that, I could see staff working hard to clear tables and then the food was well worth the wait. I know management read these and I did hear that there is consideration to extending the restaurant, I would suggest this is a good idea as the waiting has been mentioned here a few times and it is a shame to spoil such a good resort. Either that or arrange permanently warm weather during April!!! Thanks very much for a fabulous stay, great staff, very friendly resort, very comfortable resort and will be back next year or sooner if I canMore
