Scene is a brand new collection of holidays where atmosphere, nightlife and good times are as important as sunshine and sun-downers. Whether you’re a party animal checking into the biggest, loudest hotel on the strip, or a cocktails and canapés-type craving a chic retreat and A-list beach bars – we’ve got it covered
From big-hitters that need no introduction (hello Ibiza and Corfu), to less obvious spots where the buzzword is ‘chic’ (step forward Santorini and Mykonos), Scene does the lot. Check out our at-a-glance guides to where to go in the world…
"There's something magical about Ibiza. It's the place everyone gravitates towards in the summer. There's nowhere else on earth you'll be able to find line-ups that good, every night of the week."Full Interview
Five of the biggest and best clubs, in Ibiza and beyond…
The White Isle’s premier nightclub claims to be the ‘world’s most awarded’. And, after conquering DJ Mag’s run-down of the top 100 clubs across the globe in 2011, 2012 and 2014, who are we to argue? 7,000 fist-pumpers can fit into the superclub, which is the second home of house legend Carl Cox.
AKA Planet Dance. And if its otherworldly moniker doesn’t rope you in, its astronomical line-up of past performers might just do the trick. Avicii, Disclosure, Example and Snoop Dogg have all landed on the stage in recent years. Plus, their infamous water, foam and popcorn parties aren’t to be missed.
Cyprus’ biggest club dominates Napa’s strip, where Grammy award-winning Paul van Dyk recently bagged a residency. Fourteen bars are spread throughout three huge rooms and a mammoth outdoor terrace. The best bit? Each room plays something different, so whether you’re into trance or hip-hop, you’re likely to end up behind The Castle’s walls.
This place heads up Malia Mile, with CO2 canons and state-of-the-art lasers that would give any of the Med’s top clubs a run for their money. UV paint parties are a summer highlight, and recent guests include urban acts like Wretch 32 and Marvin from JLS. Stay at the ICandy Apartments, and you’ll get VIP access here.
Chances are, if you’ve heard of Zante, you’ve heard of Zeros. Among the island’s epic roster of places to party, this is the one you don’t want to miss out on. Fire breathers and veteran DJs rub shoulders here. Plus the bar staff are legendary – take Dennis, who has actually won awards for his shaking and stirring.
There are two sides to Scene – tackle the flow chart to find which tribe you belong to.
Holidays under the Scene Hub banner mean freedom, partying and drama. Whether you want a cheap and cheerful place to crash or a push-the-boat out party pad, these hotels are full of like-minded people and armed with reps you can count on for great days and even better nights.
Scene Style does what it says on the oh-so-chic tin. Glamour, atmosphere and good times define the holidays with this label. They’re more poolside lounge bar than lairy bar crawl, and feature stylish hotels that put plush clubs in arm’s reach.
Not many things will tempt us out of bed before lunchtime after a night on the tiles, but these tried-and-tested daytrips are worth setting your alarm for. For more inspiration, check out our full range of excursions.
