Well like most people i had read the reviews both good and bad, so we went with an open mind,we went out on the 29th of december until the 13th of january, and i can only say that we had the best holiday we have ever had in our lives the New years eve party was outstanding my wife and i had such a great time, the food was great the staff all worked so hard to make sure everyone had a the best time, it was great that all the staff joined in, to me the whole night was like you see in a movie the best new year party we have been to, For all the people who read the reviews that say the hotel is of poor standard my answer to that is don't believe it for us everything first class, The swim up pool bar great the drinks perfect as was the service, that was the same for the beach bar too, the lobby bar the same to be honest there is not a lot i can say that was wrong with the place. To sum it up we had a great holiday and met some great people and can't wait to go back again. Rob and Debbie

stayed here in nov 2010 booked as last minute deal paid extra for a sea view room well worth every penny we paid, view from our room exactly what you see on web excellent view to Bacardi Island. wide choice of food in both buffet and gourmet restaurants, staff very friendly and hard working,we were delayed for 24hrs on return flight due to weather Thomsons handled the situation well we were all on our way to a hotel within an hour of our flight being cancelled, looking to go back in April

This was without doubt a superb holiday!! Staff, food, room all excellent. We booked a Junior Suite and Premium seats so not really a cheapy holiday but it was well worth paying the extra. Our rep was also excellent and the minor problem of the fridge cupboard door being off its hinges was quickly sorted. The details of this hotel mentions the stairs and there were definitely a lot but the regular buggy carts made up for it even during the night. There was somebody using a wheelchair though and she seemed okay and was based on the ground floor of the Villas Laderas (Junior Suites). I fully recommend this holiday. The highlight was the Whale watching trip. We saw so many Humpback whales. Wonderful holiday Thomsons and thank you.

We stayed at the hotel from 29 dec to 6 th jan 2010. We were originally staying at another hotel but were changed at the the last minute, bit annoyed but it turned out ok because we loved this hotel. Spacious rooms, kept immaculately clean, great pool and the beach is fab. The food in the buffet was great and the al la carte ok. If your thinking of going go!

We stayed in a villa, however were not told before hand that this was some way away from the main building, when the key card did not work we had a long walk which was at night to get some assistance. The view from the room was excellent, blue sea and hills, marvalous. The maid was very good and the room always clean although toiletries were very hit and miss. Night life was non existant what was laid on was very poor. Rep was not well liked, she gave us wrong days for trips so decided to use the local's, this saved us nearly $200. Administration for Thomsons was 100% excellant although perhaps a map of the complex on arrival may have helped. The Lobby ceiling fell down just before we left luckily we were not in their, the room was boarded up but no apology or explaination was given to us for the inconvenience. Our Rep. also did not tell us about the aeroplane swap at the end of the holiday so the leg room that we dearly needed (as my husband is 6' 4" and has leg problems) caused quite a problem for us. Restaurant was very good with a good variety of food, service was great.
