This was our most relaxing holiday ever. The El Dorado Seaside resort is absolutely beautiful and exactly what we hoped for in a small hotel: personal, no crowds anywhere and many beautiful and cosy spots to enjoy. The service is utterly top level. The staff was so friendly, helpful and ever present without being intrusive. Whether at the beach or on our own terrace someone would always come by to ask if they could get us anything. It was our first time with all-inclusive, which we've always been reluctant to go for, but El Dorado Seaside has converted us. Food was brilliant, and the drinks even better. If I had to pick one point of complaint... well, that I would have think about, because so far nothing has come to mind!

We arrived to champagne and have to say it was like that the whole holiday. We where wowed with room the food the drink selection(well known brands)and the service .We have travelled far and wide and found nothing amiss . If I had to find a fault it would only be a shortage glassware on an evening in the main bar sometimes they only had plastics, but the restaurant bars were impeccable and you could have a drink at any of them even if you were not eating there.Sun beds were plentyfull even with full occupancy but we were early risers anyway (Why stay in bed when you can have one on the beach).Would we go back ,you bet we would

We booked this holiday, our first all inclusive holiday, for my 40th birthday. We were hoping for a relaxing break, to see some local attractions but generally kick back and relax. As soon as we arrived we were made very welcome by the staff at El Dorado seaside suites. The resort is immaculate with staff busy from dusk to dawn keeping it looking nice and ensuring the guests are well looked after. The beach is a little disappointing, due to a hurricane a few years ago there are sandbags and the coral is destroyed, however the hotel has built a low wall in places and there is an area of beach suitable for swimming etc. The restaurants and bars are excellent. I was really delighted with the options and quality. I used the air conditioned gym a few times which was well equipped. The gym and pools are well maintained. The Thomsons rep on site, Pablo, is very helpful and friendly and available. We had an issue about our room (had paid for a sea view) which was resolved by Pablo and the hotel to our satisfaction. The hotel doesnt really have any sea view rooms due to the palm trees that provide a shady cover around the resort. We did a couple of Thomsons excursions, to Coba to see some Mayan ruins, and a pub crawl in Playa Del Carmen. We also went on a fishing trip. All excursions were well organised and fun and good value for money. All in all, a fantastic trip, great resort that I would definately visit again. Lovely spa on site, my beach massage was very relaxing with the sound of the waves and gentle breeze.. Thank you!!..

The Good: Excellent hotel. Staff (and there were plenty of them) were very friendly. Food was of a high standard. Beach lovely. All the (branded!) drinks you could want. Snorkelling was great. You could do as much or as little as you wanted. No hastle (apart from the SPA people touting for business). The bad: Only problem was people putting towels out early in the morning. The towels are all complimentry so people took several, putting them on a selection of chairs Beds (yes, outdoor beds on the beach!) and hammocks. Result - no one about, but nothing availble. In reality, a small grumble on a wonderful holiday. Would we return? - Hell yes!
