We went for a week in early June to the Trapezaki Villas. The main draw was that is was good value and having a private pool was an exciting prospect for our 2 young children. On arrival the location exceeded our expectations, with a stunnig view across the sea to Zakynthos and the sweeping slope of the mountain behind the Villa. This is perfect if you are looking for a low key family holiday. The local people are very friendly and the 2 Taverna's (within walking distance) had good food and service. Also there is a small shop selling all essentials in walking distance. However a car is recommended as, not only is it worth seeing more of the island, it is a very hilly area and making it back up from the nearby Trapezaki beach (very pretty and sandy) is tricky on foot. The weather was pleasant at the time, although we did get a couple of cloudy days and rain it was very warm and sunny the rest of the time. To top it off the flight is relativley short and everything is relaxed (not a place for excitment or entertainment). High standards of cleaning both the villa and pool made the stay very comfortable. Even a bit of authenic greece when in the mornings you hear the bells of the sheep being hearded downhill past the villa's, standing on the balcony you can watch them and take in the gorgeous scenery. A wonderful time, we would go again in a flash.
