Stayed at club candan for 11 nights and whilst there was much to do outside there was hardly anything inside hotel. well we went at the end of the season but hotel was almost fully booked but there was hardly anything for entertainment, we did check with thomson regarding kids club and was told it was open however we were looking for better quality entertainment for our son, which we did not reveive and were disappointed, had to look outside for more fun and keep little one occupied, apart from pool there was nothing, there is one small stage where ALL entertainment small games are performed. you will see ONE dartboard hanging all the time but no darts. these are given when entertainment team is on once in the morning, once pool table challenge , table tennis tables were not opened up because it was end of season!!! well hotel was full capacity ... no excuses when guests pay for it... and because its lacks enthu to keep people inside most prefer to go out. i wouldnt call people were not interested i thought thats simply cultural some may find it rude but i dont feel so. however there was lack of passion while service guests and felt unwelcome ... all in all club candan was diappointment from what we expected of thomson from our last visit to spain !!! also hotel is not at all big as shown by pictures little kids pool is almost where the big slide starts..underneath.. big slide ends in big pool and thats about it. Good points, i personally felt hotel was situated nicely from every travelling point e.g. its closer to marina as compared to other hotels in marmaris. all good eating places are on the otherside of the hotel so nothing walkable we tried few restaurants and all were with cheap crap food in the end we found places by reviewing trip advisor and found better places to eat. difficult to find traditional turkish food nearby, almost no choice for vegetarian... all in all average holiday. if there was rating below 3 i would have given that to club candan.due to lack of entertainment and unfriendly staff !!! get used to tip culture everywhere there are tip boxes including paid taxi, boat or anywhere you buy anything. one more thing D block is right at the start of the hotel is facing mosque and will wake anyone at night - we changed our room no issues there, special mention to stacey who was really good and she was the only one we could talk to as a passionate rep as oppposed to lady who came to drop us on 22nd oct morning so cant even remember her name
Good food, close to the beach, and of course very good weather
