Nice hotel clean but needs a little refurbishiing now here and there.Problem in ground floor rooms with insects,we hardly slept for 2 weeks as mosquito problem.Had to buy extra insect repellant. Would be an idea if beds had netting over them. No hot water during the day only morning and evening so a race to use the hot water before it runs out.Nice location lovely beach and swimming pools . The buffet restaurants offered many many dishes which had good choices for all,but the jamaican food lacked the real spices and flavour. This was disappointing as it is jamaica. Most staff were pleasant but more attentive to the americans due to the fact they are used to giving tips, not so much a custom for us British. Entertainment staff lovely friendly and funny and excellent at their job.More traditional reggae music should be played instead of just a handful of bob marley tunes.When maintenance was need for something that was a little slow to be resolved .On one occasion needed some painkillers and the nurse was at lunch,when asked if there was anywhere else i could get some member of staff at reception said she didnt know. Good job i decided to look in one of the hotel shops as they sold them.Reception staff should know this. Generally all catering staff respectful and have good customer skills apart from an older man working there the only one normally at door of restaurants who has no customer skills at all when it comes to smiling being friendly and communicating. Andrea our cleaning maid was very pleasant and helpful and did a little extra cleaning in our room as there was a smell of piss in there like the previous occupiers had pissed up the floor and furniture. Otherwise a nice hotel plenty to eat and drink 24 hrs, activities and sport facilities good entertainment fine for what it is.Did enjoy the 2 weeks on the whole apart from the above issues mentioned.
