This was our first visit to Bulgaria and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of choice on the menu and it seemed as though it was food and drink 24/7! We went all inclusive and it was excellent, the bar staff constantly tried to coax you to have a cocktail rather than a soft drink but were very friendly and somehow they even managed to remember your favourite tipple. The entertainment team were all quite young but they did an excellent job with the evening entertainment and the pool entertainment during the day. We were very close to the beach so that was a bonus. Most rooms had a sea view and it was fantastic. Only negative is that Obzor is very quiet so 14 nights was a bit too long, 7 - 10 days would have been better. Not much to do outside of the hotel. Obzor is quite small and is just beginning to build itself into a resort but it didn't spoil our holiday. Would certainly recommend the hotel and location particularly if you just want a week to chill out, relax and enjoy the sun.
We have jsut returned from this hotel and agree with other reviews that it was kept spotlessly clean but had definately seen better days. The staff were all fabulous and worked so hard to make sure we were comfortable. The food was really good but returning holiday makers said it was much better last year with different stations offering a much wider choice. Sunloungers were REALLY close together with little or no room to put the sunshades up and both pools spent a good part of the day in the shade. I have to agree with prvious reviews that the entertainment was the worst I have seen and I am not fussy. the team worked so hard but it was dire. We went a few yards along the street from the hotel where there was live music. Definately not a 4 star hotel in my opinion.
