This was our 3rd visit to the Ritz Carlton - Even though the Hotel is looking slightly tired and in need of some cosmetic attention we still had a very enjoyable holiday. The food was average and to be honest not quite up to the usual standard, reason being the Hotel is struggling for guests. The Hotel was very quiet and has not yet recovered from the revolution a couple of years ago and from the bad political press that has followed that. Such a shame as the location and facilities of the Hotel are excellent. The Staff couldnt be more friendly and helpful - Life guards by the Pool and Beach areas - Waiters in the Restaurants -Management - Club Managers all very charming. We stayed in a Club Room as usual and used all the Club facilities which is so worthwhile doing. Hopefully in the not too distant future more tourists will return to the area to kick start the economy again. They are in desperate need of Tourism. Sharm El Sheikh unfortunately gets the backlash of the bad press about Cairo. We will hopefully return for another visit next year as being only 5 hours away and to have sunshine for 11 days you cant beat it.
