MYSELF AND MY PARTNER VISITED THE HOTEL MELIA ATLANTICO ON JULY 11TH THIS YEAR FOR 2 WEEKS IN THE RESORT OF ISLE CANALA. AND IT WAS FANTASTIC. REALLY RELAXING HOLIDAY, SPANISH RESORT OF LOCALS NO HASSLE, NO MASSES OF TACKY SOUVENIER SHOPS. THE HOTEL MANAGEMENT, STAFF AND LOCATION WERE EXCELLENT. VERY CLEAN, GREAT FOOD, AND THE BEACH IS TO DIE FOR. THE SWIMMING POOL CLEANED OUT EVERY DAY. ROOMS CLEANED EVERY DAY, FRESH TOWELS ETC. THIS IS THE MOST RELAXING HOLIDAY WE HAVE EVER BEEN ON. IF YOU WANT TO RELAX AND LET THE WORLD GO BY THIS IS A MUST FOR YOU. IF YOU WANT ROWDY NIGHT LIFE THEN ITS A NO NO FOR YOU. WE WILL BE COMING BACK TO THE RESORT AGAIN AND MOST DEFINETLY BACK TO THE HOTEL MELIA ATLANTICO. FROM DEBBIE AND TREVOR. BIRMINGHAM.

I read quite a few negative reviews on this hotel before I left and I was worried but now I honestly can't understand why these people are complaining as me and my boyfriend (both 20) had an amazing stay. The hotel is beautiful and right on a gorgeous sandy beach which doesn't really get busy. There are a few bars, restaurants and shops just a 2 minute walk away by the harbour. Sugar reef is a great English bar which does good food and also the restaurant next to it does lovely Italian food. The food in the hotel restaurant is nice and there was a wide range. One night they do Mexican with fajitas and tacos another night they had an Asian theme with Chinese, curries and sushi. You could also get paella pretty much every night. Although they did repeat the food weekly so it did get a little boring by the end. All the excursions Thomson offer involve travelling quite far. We went to the gypsy market which was a good day out. However if you don't want to travel far there are things to do in the area like crazy golf and hiring bikes. We also got the bus into the next town and the ferry to the island opposite which were good days out. The hotel staff are friendly as are the Thomson reps, although I think they must work at quite a few hotels as they weren't around very much. The indoor and outdoor pools were really cold but we had an amazing holiday and would recommend it to anyone!
