Despite not feeling 100 sure that the hotel deserved it's 4 star rating due to a few small issues, I still would recommend the hotel to first time holiday makers like myself and my partner. The staff and service were professional, friendly and very helpful. The only big issue that we had was that the resort/hotel very obviously catered more for the German holiday market, so we were constantly asked questions or greeted in German. This was quite frustrating at times as I was quite looking forward to practising some of my Spanish. I also to found it to be quite presumptive and a little rude. The rooms and decor were quite dated and basic but the level of cleanliness was very high and I would praise the cleaners. I was disappointed but not surprised that the beds were two singles pushed together - these often moved, even if you just sat on the bed - a little annoying. One of the best parts of the holiday was the food - we stayed Half Board - the breakfast choice, variety and quality was fantastic (recommend the Spanish omelette). I did struggle a little in the evenings as I do not eat fish or red meat, so sometimes it was a little limited. However, there was always chips, bread and pasta to fall back on. For those with families there was a specific kid buffet section. Lots of puddings!! I was slightly disappointed with the pool as due to us not having particularly high temperatures, the pool was too cold to swim in - I managed to swim once on the hottest day of the holiday but I rarely saw anybody swimming despite the fact that there were 3 pools including a kiddie pool. Plenty of sunloungers. Spa was another semi-positive point - sauna, steam rooms, thermal rooms, jacuzzi great - pool too small though. Treatments pretty good value for money. Excursions were somewhat limited - we did the Caves of Drach which is very good value for money as there are also stops off in the lovely Arta, Manacor and Porto Cristo. Finally C'an Picafort as a resort was lovely - although we didn't try any of the restaurants there looked to be a lot of choices, lots of shops (quite repetitive) and the beach stretches all the way to Alcudia - we thought it would be a good idea to walk - be careful, it took us all day to get there and back so maybe check out the buses if you're used to foreign public transport!! The buses are regular (approx every 15 minutes), we just aren't confident holiday makers yet. Hope my review has been helpful.
