just returned from benidorm 26th feb had good weather hotel brilliant plenty of food to much to eat hotel as entertainment every night as well as bingo plenty of pubs 1pint of lager 1euro as well as eating places only to min to beach we are going back again
We all had a great time at the Ambassador. The food was great, with plenty of variety.Entertainment was great.staff were all very friendly. We all enjoyed the Spar connected to the hotel, although you had to pay 5 Euros for this amenity, but well worth the visit. Would recommend this hotel. Great value for the money.
the weather was variable at times but it was great to walk along the promenade into the old town stopping at one of the many bars for a cafe con leche.Our visit to the Benidorm Palace was amazing,apart for the poor quality of the food.WE enjoyed a visit to the ancient viillage of Guadalest be it via a blanket trip.Public transport was easily accessible.which enabled us to visit Albir.Altea and Carrefor to enjoy some shopping.The spa at the hotel was an added attraction on dull afternoons.
Large Hotel is old with very small rooms, very little money is being spent, towels worn out, plastic cups in bathroom, heating would only come on until 19.00 hrs even when it was cold.which they changed after many complaints. You have to pay 2E ppn if you wish a room on the sunny side £50 for a 2 week holiday.Friendly helpful staff, food not bad for 3star hotel.Plenty of choice. No day time activities,night time suitable for the older set, good heated covered pool. Located in the active nightlife area. We were stranded by the snow and Spanish air controllers strike and were looked after by Thomson's excellently, many thanks to all concerned!
We stayed at the Ambassador Playa as we had a good time last year. the room was lovely, clean, had air conditioning and to help keep up with world news a flat screen TV, we had a pool view on the first floor, the only down side was the room was underneath where all the smokers came to have a cigarette before and after a meal. Next time we will ask for a high floor, so problem solved. The food was very good, basic but nice and better than last year. The hotel is situated in the middle of all the entertainment, but the double glazing kept the noise out. The beach is superb, it is clean and only a couple of blocks from the hotel. The pool area is large and plentiful, thought we did not use the pool only because we prefer the beach as there is a nice breeze. The entertainment in the hotel was good. We will be booking here again next year.
