Hotel situated next to the beach, with all rooms having a view of the sea or the resort. Our travel agent requested a sea view and high floor and we were given a perfect view of the bay, beach and the forest covered hills on the other side of the bay. Puerto San Miguel is on the west of Ibiza, therefore in the morning our spacious balcony was cool and shaded and by the evening it was baking hot in lovely sunshine.
The room was small for four people and the pillows were hard. However it was kept lovely and clean, provided you didn't look under the bed!
We loved the eigth floor buffet restaurant where you could eat breakfast overlooking the bay, unfortunately in the evening it was necessary to seek shade on the other side. The food was perfectly cooked with good choice for everyone. At breakfast there was a very busy chef baking the croissants and morning rolls, poaching the eggs, making omelettes to request and keeping the cooked breakfast fully stocked on top of the ample cold breakfast selection. For lunch and dinner there was always something we fancied and sometimes a special selection, such as cheeses. If you were still hungry you could get sandwiches after 10pm. The Chinese buffet was worth a visit, it was small so you had to book. There was also the 'Western Saloon' in the Beach Club area which provided fast food, handy if you wanted to eat around the pool or outside main restaurant opening hours. We loved the all you can eat icecreams, plenty of variety if you asked. Great selection of drinks, children loved the 'kiddie coctails'. We could use our all inclusive benefits while on the beach as it was so close.
The hotel has a lovely pool with a shallow childrens area, jacuzzi and large swimming area. Essential to 'reserve' sunbeds or they soon run out. There was another great pool at the beach club we could use, with shallow children's area, a small slide and fountains. All the family enjoyed both.
There was a wide variey of children's and adults activities by day, in the evening my 3 year old loved dancing with Tommy the dog and Zorro, the adults entertainer, made me cry with laughter. We stayed for 10 nights and there was different and enjoyable entertainment every night.
The hotel, beach, 3 holiday shops and a few bars were all that was in the resort, no bank or pharmacy for 4km. There was an excursion shop run by an english lady which provided a good trip to the water park. The bus service was a bit unreliable and ran late.
