We stayed for a week with our almost 2 year old at the Atlantica Sun Garden and absolutely loved it. There was a great selection of good quality food at every meal, which was always hot and plentiful. There was a good selection of snacks available between meals and a vwide selection of drink aswell so no need to go outside the hotel which was a worry of mine as of course we'd paid for the all inclusive holiday.
It was very hot when we went (at least 36 all week) but the toddler pool was fantastic to let our daughter roam about as it's gated, only 6 inches deep and there were always plenty of toys in there and shade to prevent it being too hot. The other pools were lovely too. We did find everyone put their towels out very early on their choice sunbeds so we ended up having to do the same or not getting sunbeds where we wanted or at all.
Our daughter went to the creche each day which she loved. Hayley and Karina are brilliant with the little ones and were happy to take our daughter to dinner one night so we had a romantic, peaceful evening meal in the a la carte restaurant. We agreed it was the best meal we had enjoyed in a long time and the stunning backdrop of the beautiful Med, along with no highchair hassle made for a wonderful evening.
There are more sunloungers and space to sit in the gardens which was also really nice, and very peaceful away form the noise at the poolside.
We only went to the beach nearby once at the pool is so much easier with toddlers but we enjoyed a morning there one day. My husband has some amazing underwater shots of huge shoals of fish just a little way out to sea. It was 2.5 euroes per sun lounger and the same for an umbrella which was reasonable and the were plenty available when we went. There are quite a few steps and a rickety boardwalk to the beach but we managed it easily with a buggy.
The kids evening entertainment was good with a nightly disco which our daughter quickly picked up a load of the dance moves to! The kids club reps were all good fun and all the kids enjoyed seeing Thomson the Dog.
We went on one excursion only, mainly becasue we wanted a relaxing holiday, but wanted to see a little of Cyprus too. We chose the Famagusta Swimming trip which took you in to the Turkish side of the island. Our guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning some more about the history of Cyprus. St Nicholas's church was nice, but nothing amazing.
we are seriously considering going back next year and getting married here!
