Good hotel nice food lots of choice and plenty of local drinks on all inclusive. l liked the fact you could go for meals anytime rather than set sittings . Brilliant staff at hotel very welcoming and helpful. Entertainment not brilliant. Situated out of Paphos but easy to got here by local bus. If going with Thomson the tranfer from airport was terrible bus falling to pieces seats all collapsed worst part of the holiday as you don't need that after a 4plus hour flight
this is our 14th time at this hotel which proves how good and how well you are looked after by the staff and management.everything is first class except the entertainment.over the years it has gone downhill and this year was particulaly bad.come on thomson this hotal deserves better.even some of the britains got talent acts were superior to what we were given and also it is about time that jinks were given another venue, they are good but they are also very repetitive same songs same gabble and same clothesthe entertainment reps were not very good and lacked personality also.we will return in the future and hope that these issues will have been resolved as it is a real let down for such a quality hotel.
Nothing is too much trouble at any level to ensure that the guests needs are satisfied, the rooms are modern and comfortable albeit that the bathrooms are small. The rooms are well furnished with tea/coffee making facilities, fridge and an electronic safe ( this is at a cost which is quite expensive and should be included at no cost), a flat screen TV is provided with a good range of program's . The hotel infrastructure is very tasteful with excellent service in the bars and dining areas (a large outdoor dining area is provided, although at times you have to wait a while for this facility). On a negative note the self service collection of hot drinks by guests in a morning is an H&S hazard and should be reviewed by the management, in addition to eliminating cats in the dining areas. The hotel has a nice inside and outside pool area, however as usual to get a sun bed around the outside pool necessities being out on a bed around 0700hrs (not a pleasure whilst on holiday), the grassed areas are a pleasure to utilise with sun beds and umbrellas, however, once again an early morning rising is necessary to reserve one in these areas (the hotel states that reservation of beds is not allowed), however, this is not enforced thus leaving the last grassed area by the sea as the only place you can expect to get a sun bed if you wish to have breakfast before locating a bed. Whilst the hotel information or arrival get together does not highlight areas for walking we located a great walk, turn right out of the hotel and walk for 10mins along the road, just before the Diving Centre a pathway takes you onto a delightful promenade following the sea for about a good 30 min walk passing some other nice hotels and sunbathing areas (if you like strolling this is a must with beautiful views over the sea scape). The newly arrived Thomson reps are very helpful; however, the activities team leave a lot to be desired. The evening entertainment is mixed, however, the resident duo are excellent and are worth staying in for. The all inclusive package is a must allowing a full range of local alcoholic, soft drinks and cocktails, if you do not take out the package on booking it is available on arrival, however, if not taken the drinks are quite expensive with even coffee at 3.20 Euros. This is one of the best Gold Hotels we have utilised and it is without doubt due to the attitude of the local staff who are a credit to the Hotel management who are also very proactive and approachable.
Stayed at the Atlantica Golden Beach from 12th June to 26th June. The hotel was fantastic. The staff could not do enough for you. The waiters and waitresses would come round the pool all day and ask you what drinks you wanted . You did not have to move all day if you did not want to. The only down side was there was not enough sun beds round the pool. If you wanted to get one you had to be up be 6am otherwise they had all been taken. There were sun beds on the grass but as they were on a slope you had to hold on otherwise you would slide off the bottom. Also we did see a very large snake on the grass which put us off completely. The restaurant was exceptional. The food was always hot and tasty, not like some hotels where the plates are cold and the food unappetising. The entertainment in the daytime and the evening was very good . We only did the water aerobics but there was something on all day if you wanted to be involved in it. We hired a car for 4 days and went up into the mountains to see the monastery, be prepared to wear a long purple coat though which was a bit hot in 30 degrees heat. We also went to Coral Beach which was OK. The sun beds were a bit close together and it was a so hot it was difficult to keep under the sunshade so we left after 3 hours. All in all a very nice holiday.
