like being on holiday in the soviet union , only a handful of Brits in the hotel ,of those we spoke to they had all been very ill with tummy bugs and diarrhea as were my wife and I . Staff were friendly and helpful but the area outside the Nubian island is a dump and you are harassed constantly . If you want pool sun and guarantied dairrhea look no further.
Staff were helpful & friendly. Although i never made use of the entertainment they were always extremely busy welcoming at meal times, and around the resort and pool area. Being a single traveler it seemed that an extra effort was made to make me feel at home.
Just spent 3 nights at this Hotel as the stay part of a criuse and stay. It has to be said its the first time that I have had problems finding food to eat in a Thompsan Hotel, but this was really not good, poor selection at all meal times but breakfast was really bad, all of the food was either luke warm or dried out at every meal, very little by way of meat on offer, again in particular at breakfast. Has to be said its hotel which is the Nubian Village is much better and the staff at the restaurant are very friendly. The rooms where nice with exceedingly large beds and a fridge and free safety deposit box, pool area good and well looked after but the grounds (gardens and grass) needed more attention. Both of the main bars are in the lobby which is 2 floors above the pool and rooms level with no lift. I find it hard to understand why this hotel is going to be given a 5T listing, I would have expected it to have been dropped to a 3T. I have been travelling for over 30 years and this is the first time that I have struggled to eat in the hotel
We stayed at aqua blu sharm 3 times and are now planning our 4th visit. For the price you pay, you can't complain! There are plenty of restaurants, bars and pools to choose from. Even if you don't want to use the aqua park you don't have to be right in the middle of it and can go to a quieter pool. Always guaranteed sunshine!
The hotel was buitiful and all inclusive but you were not allowed to take drinks to your room so i bought a 70cl bottle of local vodka and the hotel charged me 70 english pounds,a news paper cost me 14 english pounds and if you wanted WI FI in your room it cost 100 english pounds for a week. apart from these outragious charges everything else was fine.
