We usually go to the Canaries three or Four times a year, staying in four star All Inclusive Hotels.This was the first time to Turkey. Weather was fantastic and the hotels position on the sea where you could sunbathe on the deck and go down steps into the sea was excellent. However our rooms were average and our nieces rooms bathroom had a foul smell. We asked for a new room and were told that the hotel was full. Our Thomson rep dealt with it the next day and they moved in next to us and my sister and husband were given another room with single beds. We were quite shocked that new guests were put in the same room the next day! There was no lounge bar area were we could all meet before dinner for a drink except by the pool, which means plastic glasses Very little choice of drinks. We are rum drinkers and as that does not exist had to settle for the appauling wine. Men only wore shorts in the dining room and we were not prepared for that. If we were not sitting down when the restaurant opened we had to sit at tables with dirty tablecloths,no chance of a change, a scrabble off other tables for cutlery and tiny paper napkins- if you were lucky.Food quality was poor.Then back to the pool with no chance of a coffee in a cup and saucer and not a chance of a liquer.Entertainment was only the team every night, dreadful and sitting on concrete steps with the truly revolting punch! Look I could keep going, but I think you get the feeling that this was clearly NOT a four star. We would have dealt with these things a whole lot better if it had been sold as a three star, although we would not have booked a three star. If this is the standard of four stars in Turkey, we will not be going back! Canaries here we come for our next holiday with our children and grandchildren in October.Dissapointed!!

Turkey is great fun for the young and old, great for family's. the turkish people can not do enough for you. I would never go back to europe.fanatsic place. i would like to point out it would have been a nicer journey if thomson's catered more for younger children, ie babys on the plane.there's no room as it is.it would have been nicer for them to have a seat.

Went in May this year earlier than usual and it was quite windy and not so sunny as usual, but we still had a lovely time as always. Been going there for 14 yrs now, twice a year mostly. Stay at Sultans and Kings hotel right on the beach,just 8 rooms. Seit the owner is great as are all the boys working there. If not eating there we use Touch of Class family run restaraunt who pick you up and take you wherever you want to go when you've eaten. We have seen lots of changes over the years and made so many really good friends. We would never want to go anywhere else in Turkey as its like going home to us. See you Seit,Michael,David,Metin and Bedo the chef, in September. Love you all.

returned from altinkum in july had a great time ,the local police have stopped most of the hassel now .Will be back there in September ,just remember it is turkey not Spain Turkey has a lot of catching up to do but are getting there

Was dirty, rooms were cramped, extremely little to do at the resort!!!! would never return to turkey AGAIN.......
