The hotel las vegas which is not an option in your survey was below average, and definately not a 4 star as you put on your website. The food was terrible, very little choice breakfast or evening meal and every room should have tea & coffee making facilities nowadays. Oh and the weather was not brilliant. Prefer feutaventura and it has better weather. There are not enough lfts in the hotel and it does not help when the maids lock them off for their own use.

Stayed at the Bahia Principe San Filipe in Puerto de La Cruz. Hotel was excellent, good food and accommodation, friendly staff nice pool. The holiday was marred by the fact that we did not have a Thomson rep in the resort. We were met at the airport by about a dozen reps who passed us around before giving us a holiday guide and putting us on a mini bus. We were not told that there wouldn't be any rep at the hotel and we later found out that there were no Thomson reps at the resort at all. Our guide merely told us that if we had any problems or questions to either text or ring a UK number and we would get a reply within 24 hours. We were the only ones to be leaving for the Newcastle flight on the Sunday morning and as we had heard of others having difficulty in getting to the airport we tried to confirm our pick up time by texting Thomsons number. We couldn't get through in spite of trying different networks on both of our phones. I phoned on the Frday and spoke to a lady who could not give us this information as she could not find our flight! She rang back to confirm the pick up time on the Saturday and everything went well from thereon. Thomsons claim to have 3500 overseas staff to help make our holiday enjoyable but we had no help from anyone. This spoilt the last couple of days by causing unneccessary stress and proved to be a time wasting and expensive experience.

First time to Tenerife and it was better than I expected. Puerto de la cruz is a lovely place, very relaxing and the people are great. The harbour is a great place to just sit and watch and there are loads of tapas bars around. However every where is either uphill or downhill and the first few days we had tired legs from all the walking! You soon get used to it though! Hotel Lubay is first class and everything was a high standard. The food was good but repetitive and the drinks expensive but with so many places to eat out, this wasn't a problem. Top hat of the holiday was when the hotel delivered a bottle of champagne on ice to the room for my birthday -I thought that was a lovely gesture. The rep,David, was very informative and his welcome talk was like a potted history, geography and social lecture -lots of useful inside information. Will definatley be returning. Not for young people though but great for a chilled out holiday.
