Our holiday was made special and personal by an exceptional experience at the Tesoro Blu Hotel, there was simply nothing we could fault the hotel on. It made our holiday to know that the service we received was personal, genuine and very professional. The standards at the hotel were very high and the accommodation offered exceptional value for money. The food was again of a high standard with a variety of dishes cooked to cater for all. The resort of Skala was a perfect get away with a very relaxed pace. There were some great restaurants and we particularly enjoyed the Captains Bar in Skala centre. The discover Kefalonia tour was another highlight- unlike other tours we have been on it offered a variety of activities and not as much time on a coach as with other tours. Our tour guide Anne led the tour really well. The entertainment at the hotel was great- Amy the events coordinator was really passionate about making sure all the guests were enjoying the stay and was very friendly and personable. The entertainment was delivered by the resident singer Adam who managed to keep all the guests entertained night after night with a great variety of music. He was very accommodating and built a strong rapport with all the guests. The hotel staff were all excellent and were very efficient polite and professional and seemed to enjoy their roles. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the hotel made it great for socialising with other guests and it was great to meet so many nice people. As it was the first week of the season the first few days were a little quieter. However even as the hotel began to fill the high standards were still maintained. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday with he resort and hotel highly recommended.
A must place to visit but probably in high or early season. We visited on final two weeks of the season and everything had more or less shut down. Kefalonia so much different from other Greek islsnds. In fact, you would think you were in the UK in parts. Skala was fine but I feel too far south. A mid island choice next time maybe but only for easier access to the main attractions of this lovely island resort. How blissful not to have traffic of any mode on the roads. Our stay at Tesoro Blu was a worthwhile choice. Everything was nice but sadly the resident singer " killed us softly with his singing" the only downside of this unique hotel. Maybe, too, the owners could keep a lower profile around the Bar/Dining area. What a pleasure to go to the pool area and not have to fight for a sunbed and the towels supplied was very handy. Holiday Reps have never been worth a mention and on this occasion my view has still not changed. Really looking forward to my next visit with the likelyhood of going self catering as there is so much choice. The Thomson Island Trip, though expensive, was a must do and see as it covered the major attractions of the island. Overall a memorable holiday and looking forward to a speedy return
The Tesoro Blu is a lovely family run hotel. The food and drinks selection is excellent and all the staff, including the owners are very helpful, polite and friendly. This hotel is perfect for modern surroundings and a relaxing, restful holiday. The local town of skala is small but caters for most of your needs, and it is not too far away from larger, livelier towns. You are able to walk to lots of beaches and secluded coves, but some of them are more pebbly than they are sandy. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday at this hotel and thoroughly recommend it.
