arrived at the hotel at23.30pm and could not believe the noise and the loud music from the bar area, so we asked for a quiet room but unfortunately the quiet rooms are not yet refurbished and it was like going back to the 60's it was so old fashioned, we explained to the reception that it was nothing like the rooms advertised on Thomsons site and we were directed to a better room right by the pool and noisy bar, we finally got to sleep at about 4am and learned to time our arrival back to the Hotel accordingly, We only ate at the hotel once and had to send the food back as it was'nt what was ordered, all in all you get what you pay for and next time I will pay a little more.

Monte Verde Hotel a good base for visiting the surrounding countryside and beaches. Olidenez an obvious favourite but near the end of the holiday we discovered the Daylan area which is beautiful. The hotel itself was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable spa but it's main appeal being the very attentive and easy going staff. Ovacik itself is a place to pass through in all honesty - probably because it is flanked on all sides by more interesting or appealing places. However a positive first experience of Turkey and we will go back.

The Monta Verda staff are exellent, friendly and professional, the cleanliness first class rooms cleaned every day with clean towels but the room we had was the smallest we have ever had , tired.no space to put or cases away , wardrobe too short for long dresses and not wide enough for coathangers. The location is great as the buses run past the hotel and you can get anywhere local very cheaply and so plentifull you dont need a time table just the time of the last ones. Hisaranu is a lot bigger than it was and has lost some of its character but every where is great value .Fethiye is a little larger but is great value for its boat trips and eating out.the water taxi to calis beach is a worthwhile day trip and if you stay late the sunset is very romantic. Olu Dinez has grown very large but the beach and Lagoon with the hang gliders from the mountains make it a must to visit. We will definatly return to the area as there is still so much more for us to see.

just got back from this hotel we stayed in for 11 nights totally dejected & amazed that it is nothing like what thomson have advertised in their brochure. We arrived in the early hours of the morning to find a unhelpful member of staff, rushed through check in,then whipped to our room. What an eye opener that was! i was shocked at the room,we holiday 3 times a year,& this was the worst room weve ever seen, let alone been expected to stay in! very basic, furniture had seen better days! so we immediately went back to reception to see if we could change rooms. Was told in morning.Come morning was fobbed off, till my wife asked to see the manager.Given another room, which was better (not by much).I ased (& offered to pay extra)for a upgrade, wasnt any!so asked where are the rooms that are shown in the brochure,i got no answer.Another guest was in reception as well asking the same ?.He told us he viewed a room in april,it was like the picture in brochure,so he booked on the strength of that. What a shock he got!. The hotel is no way a 3 star ive stayed in hostels that are better.I will say mind that the hotel is clean.Food is terrible, worst ive ever had! Only 2 members of staff i found to be polite & helpful (both cleaners). On checkout we were hit with a £70 bill for a turkish bath neither of us had! No airport times, mind thats thomsons rep who couldnt be bothered to change the list.We had to contact thomsons text service (who where brilliant)to get our pick up time. Would we stay in this hotel again? NO not even if it was for free. The area this hotel sits in is beautiful, stunning views, the little town of Hisaronu is smashing, filled with lovely places to eat etc & friendly people.Must mention the Hong kong gardens & the Golden leaf resturants both excellent & well worth a visit.Would we go again to this area? already booked, but at a different hotel. So dont be fooled by what you see in the brochure it isnt all it seems (rooms that is)
