This hotel is fantastically placed to reach Sorrento centre. A 10 minute walk will bring you to the main square. Staff are very friendly. Hotel was beautifully clean and rooms comfortable. The only down side would be the food. The standard was excellent but choice very restricted. Breakfast was an abundance of cakes, breads, creals ect. The evening meal, which needed to be ordered at breakfast, was a choice of 2 starters and 2 mains. The food was typically Italian and large portions, but if you are a fussy eater or vegetarian you may struggle to find something suitable. Dessert was the biggest let down with you being handed the dessert of the day which could be watermelon. (I am a dessert lover). Restuarant staff were exceptionally friendly. The Thomson Almalfi drive select tour was well worth the money introducing you to spectacular views both from the mini bus and the boat, and inclouded a lovely meal. we also enjoyed the open top bus ride.

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in this lovely hotel during May. The hotel is down a side street, just off the busy main road. Easy walking distance for the train and bus station, main square and about 20 minute stroll to the port for boat trips. Regular and cheap travel to places such as Pompei (train stops opposite the entrance to the historic site), buses to Amalfi (get the earliest one as it's popular), train to Naples and other smaller towns, boat to the islands (Capri is a must!). The helpful hotel reception will give you travel info. Fautless hospitality and good traditional Italian food in the hotel. There is an abundance of great eating places around Sorrento city but PLEASE pick one where the locals are eating and not the first touristy ones you come across as the food is just AMAZING! The hotel is spotlessly clean with several bed changes a week and daily clean towels. TV channels are limited but who honestly goes on holiday to watch the telly!! There is a great little fruit shop directly opposite the hotel entrance that also sells useful things such as tea bags and bottled water. Please do try the fruit on sale there. The oranges are to die for!! I often bought fresh tomatoes to have with my hotel evening meal...delicious! There's nothing much to do in or around the hotel itself and the pool area is very small, but this is a city hotel and no more or less than we expected as going out to see the sights is our main aim. Some Thomson guests complained to us that the food wasn't 'English' enough for them! Astounding when you consider they were in Italy and not Blackpool!!!!
