This is the third time for us to go to Turkey but the first for Icmeler, we were not disappointed. The Hotel Mersoy Exclusive was in an excellent spot, near the beach and not too far from the centre. The Hotel itself was not quite as we expected, the room smaller than we envisaged but to be fair was very comfortable. We were bed and breakfast and not all inclusive. There was a variety of foods for breakfast infact plenty to choose from, even a little spot outside where they would make you an omelette of your choice or fry you an egg. There were loads of people all inclusive, some said the food was fine others complained that it was the same type every day. The maids came in most days and cleaned, changed towels etc and worked very hard. If i was to crticise it would be regarding the lack of sufficient drawers in the room and the fact that the fridge only worked if you were actually in the room. There were no facilities in the room to make tea or coffee, also the fridge was not stocked like a mini bar. These certainly would have been really handy on arrival as we were desperate for a cuppa. The pool was on the small side but was fine the first week as no kids there, this changed the second week. The kids dominated the pool on the second week and it became rather full with their inflatables. There was a childrens pool with a slide nearby but they did not seem to use that much, a shame. Management should invest in some new sunbeds as some were broken. The umbrellas were huge and strategically placed which were very useful. Bar Bistro on the front of the hotel had fab staff and served snacks lunchtime with a la carte food in the evenings, we spent most nights there after our little meander. On occassions we had our main evening meal there but mostly we went out and about. Throughout the 2 weeks we had fab food and tried out lots of restaurants. There are also plenty of shops to pick up a bargain. We loved it there and would definitely go back. The hotel was not as bad as some of the comments on the reviews suggested. The Turkish people are so lovely, helpful and friendly etc. Some tips, Do not buy the water on the plane as the bus driver sells lovely cold water much cheaper. Do a boat trip and buy them locally. Do not take hand luggage as you can pick up plenty of bargains and use your allowance to bring them home. Loads of good restaurants but try Broadway and Oysioma in the town.Bamboo on the water front and stay there for the waiters entertainment at 10ish

FIRST TIME IN ICMELER AND REALLY LOVED THE WHOLE PLACE. WE HAD AN EXCELLENT SPOT, NEAR TO THE BEACH AND ALL EATING PLACES. THE PEOPLE WERE VERY FRIENDLY.FOOD LIKE MOST PLACES WE HAD REALLY GOOD FOOD AT THE VENICE ALSO THE CHEF, THE MERLISSA.ALTHOUGH WE WERE TOLD HOW GOOD THE FOOD WAS AT THE LOVE BOAT I DID NOT REALLY THINK SO I HAD A STEAK AND FOUND IT TO BE ON THE CHEWY SIDE, AND IT IS QUITE EXPENCIVE COMPARDED TO OTHER PLACES.THE ONLY THING I WOULD SAY IS THAT THE MERSOY WAS SUPER BUT........THE ROOMS WERE RATHER ON THE SMALL SIDE, BUT IT WAS SPOTLESS AND THE STAFF WERE BRILLANT.

This is a great value hotel to stay in Icmeler. We stayed in mersoy exclusive in July 2010. The price per quality is really fantastic. we stayed in one of the pool view rooms which were renovated newly. The rooms are newly refurbished and very modern. The bathrooms are fantastic. Marble baths. We had a very good time. The pool area is nice and food at the Bistro Med was really good. The hotel is close to everything. Beach is only 2 minute walk and also the center, to shops, bars etc. We highly recommend Mersoy Exclusive to anyone.

Just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel (13th - 27th May 2010) Hotel located at the edge of the resort. Handy for all the bars/restaurants/etc but far enough away from the general resort noise. Hotel is small and friendly. We had a 4th floor room in the main block, and had a decent size balcony, but some of the lower floorsand B block rooms had very small balconies - just enough room for a small table and 2 chairs, nothing else. Room was a bit small, but big enough for 2 single beds and a wardrobe (just). Mattresses on both beds were very hard, resulting in a bad back for my wife, and sore shoulders for me. Bathroom is Ok, but cramped. Shower temperature was difficult to regulate, ranging from very hot to very cold. Not quite enough sunbeds for everyone, and even fewer matresses for the first 4 days. Hotel brought new mattress for all sunbeds, so can't complain! Lack of sunbeds resulted in the usual get up v. early to bag a bed, despite the warnings posted saying not too. 2 swimming pools - one of which was being repaired for the duration of our stay (2 weeks). Breakfast was Ok - a bit samey after the 1st week. We only had the BB option, most other guests were all inclusive. Lunch and Dinner didn't look to inspiring, and speaking to other guests on the AI plan, they preferred to eat out in the evenings. My experience of Turkey is this is fairly common, so would opt for BB everytime!
