I have just returned from Sunset Village with my husband and my 4 year old son and we had a great time and are very sorry to had left after 7 days. The weather was VERY HOT . The hotel was very clean we did chat to other people who were in All Inclusive and they hated the food. There are heeps of English Bars , on Dolphin Square I would recommend the Restaurant My China. On arrival ask for Air con as it is not included and it only cost 5 pound a day. for the money you pay it is really good the Reps from Thomson were not helpful but there where plenty of people on side who had been before with advise. If you want to book any trips book with the locals in town as it is half price from what Thomsons charge you. We took a trip to Adaland where our son son swam with dolphins for only 70 pound It is really worth going I know I had first a different view on this but after seeing other hotels ie All inclusive ones, Sunset Village is great. Dennis is the Owner and speaks very good english and is helpful. see for yourself I will definitely go again next year if i get a room as only been back a couple of hours searching the web site it is already booked out join the facebook site sunset village and speak to regular customers who go every year enjoy your time and make the most of it

We arrived at Sunset Village in the middle of the night and were dissapointed when we entered our apartment, we were expecting basic but unlike all other Thompson accomodation we have used this one was in a poor condition. The bedding was stained and the towels were grey, the bed settee was badly stained and had cigarette burns. We went to make a cup of tea and found all the cups were filthy, we had to clean all the crockery and cuttlery before we could use anything. In the morning we had no hot water I told the rep at the welcome meeting who said it would be hot in the afternoon as all the water was solar heated. we did get hot water from the tap but never had a hot shower all holiday despite the plumber coming to look at it. The young lad who looked after the communal areas round the pool did a good job and this was always kept clean. The appartments were close to third beach which was excellent good sandy beach and stayed shallow for a long way out. Meals out were generally very good. The resort was a bit of a building site with unfinished building work everywhere. We personally think these appartments are below the standard we expect from Thompsons and they should look closely at their selection process if they want to maintain customer loyalty.
