Just returned from 2 lovely weeks away staying at the Suite Atlantis Fuerteventura. This is a very large complex which is kept to an exceptionally clean standard everywhere. Pleasant gardens and large rooms with adequate storage. 5 swimming pools (only 1 heated). Would say that this Hotel is most suited to famalies with Children. The animation team seem to work very hard and all the entertainment is geared towards children. Not so much to our taste nowadays but nice for those travelling with little ones. We prefered to go out in the evenings. About a 20 min stroll into town. We found a nice friendly bar called the Pua Vida (turn left out of the Hotel a few hundred yds on the right) which made a nice change (lovely pool bar right on the beach too) & also a very good english hairdresser on site.

Back to the Hotel, the only let down for us was the food and the Restaurant in general. Whilst the food was of quite a good quality it was nearly always cold. Some nice touches though - juice bar for breakfast was excellent. The main restaurant seemed to be very under-staffed and tables were nearly always un-set and often covered in food debris from previous diners. We tried the Aisian Restaurant one night and the food was freezing and unpleasant( We were in and out in 5 minutes.) Tried the Spanish Restaurant one night too and this was much better. Snack bar in the day time was pretty good & sandwich corner is a very good idea. Drinks all seemed to be good quality both soft and alchoholic.

Found most of the staff to be very pleasant particularly at the pool bars and the animation team.

All in all fab holiday, nice accommodation, restaurant needs to be a lot better organised though - would say the staff who work in there do work hard - there just needs to a lot more of them, but would go back and recommend to others.

The Suite Hotel Atlantis was better than we had imagined, good food, activities if required, and relxation! Across the road and was a path to the beach, and then one could relax on a sunlounger or walk along the coast to the harbour. If Corralejo is what you want then left out of the Hotel and follow the road along, and 10 minutes later you are in the shopping areas and Tapas bars and resturants. Turning right out of the Hotel walking along the road, lined with palms, then you can reach the start of the sand dunes and coast within 15 minutes. Walking further takes you to the larger dunes near to the two hotels on the beach. Beautiful beaches to be enjoyed, and if you don't wish to walk then there is a free bus from the Hotel to the dunes. The trip to Lanzarote to the volcano and lava flows was worthwhile, but only if you haven't seen such things before. Local buses are cheap and easy to use, the trip to El Cotillo was really interesting, and explore the little seaside town, both from the surfing beach in the south to the lagoon areas in the north. El Cotillo is small, but there are restaurants, and everyone is friendly. Get the bono bus cards as they are a cheaper way to travel. The trip to Puerto del Rosario was again interesting, but the town was not visually appealing! The bus station is near to the army barracks, which looked like a jail, so only go here if you are then going to get a bus out again, as we did to another destination further south. Again the travel was easy and comfortable. Back in the Suite Hotel Atlantis, the accomodation in the Relax Zone was exactly as stated! It was quiet and the nearest pool was on the whole little used for noisy activities, although the children's little pool adjacent to it was used more frequently, but it was not objectionable or intrusive at all. Do take advantage of booking the Spanish Restaurant or the Italian Restaurant if you are all inclusive, as they give a pleasant break from the busy Gaudi Restaurant, with good hot and cold food and perhaps too great a range of choice. We did appreciate the area in the Gaudi Restaurant, labelled no children. It was a small area so families were not deprived, but sometimes it is good to get away from the issues encountered when feeding children. There is a area near a larger pool, which has the volley ball court, and football area and tennis, as well as a gym and Spa, all the facilities which younger people love. We enjoyed the holiday greatly.
