Me and my partner were very anxious when reading some of the comments from the past about the hotel, but as soon as we arrived at the hotel we knew we had nothing to worry about. When we arrived at the hotel and were presented with a cold wet towel to freshen up with, a glass of champagne and some nibbles. After signing a few things, we were taken straight to our room which was in the Azul section, even though we had asked to be in the adult section; but it was just as nice and was a swim up. The room was very spacious, and was open plan apart from the shower and toilet which were sectioned off either side to the sinks. The room was extremely clean, which was kept up throughout the two weeks! Although we wouldn't say the furnishings were really 5*. We then went to the Spoons restaurant for our tea. We had not got a clue what to do though, when we were presented to our seats and so therefore just ordered something off the menu, but found out the next day that it was best to have the buffet. We found that the spoons restaurant was the best for breakfast, the mexican restaraunt was best for lunch and siena was best for Dinner. We found Siena was also the best restaurant of them all. The service in the restaurants was brilliant, definately 5 * rating. There were a few things around the hotel that needed touching up, such as broken tiles on one of the pool bars and the pool was a bit dirty with things from the beach floating around in it. We also found a crab in the pool too! But apart from that it was all very beautiful. Id recommend the captain hook excursion, it was fantastic! Also the chichen itza excursion as well, where we were able to swim in a senote, which is an amazing experience! Id also recommend the pot painting on the beach, although id wear suncream and take a bottle of water with you. Overall i'd say the hotel was more of a 4* rather than 5*, but we were not disappointed with any of it at all! Id use dollars instead of pesos to tip in the hotel, as it is quite difficult to get used to the currency and ratings, but please do tip as much as you can as they do not get alot of money, even though they work terrible, exhausting hours! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The holiday was one of the best holidays i have ever had, and ive been all over the world, including australia. I would definately recommend the hotel, but the entertainment at night from the live-in staff was very cheesey and they could not sing!
The cleanliness of this hotel was outstanding. No matter how busy areas were at peak times during the day or night, everywhere was spotless. To summarise: Mostly food was of a very high standard. We especially loved the Italian and the Tapas restaurants in the evening. For breakfast and lunch, Spoon was fantastic with a wide array of choices, yet in the evening we thought it poor. The house wines were the best we have ever tasted in Mexico and the choice of premium brand spirits was great. Whilst all staff were attentive and very helpfull they seemed very 'scripted' which made them seem a little false at times. The natural friendliness and easy, witty, charm of the Mexicans that we have previously met did not come accross at this hotel. The pools were gorgeous, which made up for the poor beach. Unfortunatley the beach is full of coral and rocks which prevents you from wading out for a swim. To enjoy a relaxing swim in the sea you do need to walk a good 30 minutes further down the shore line. The bedroom was lovely and spacious and kept immaculately clean. Overall the holiday was excellent value for money and we would consider returning again.
We had a great time at the Sensitori Mexico! The hotel was really nice. We were greeted on arrival with Chanmpagne and it was a touch of luxury! Our room was great, with amazing sea views. The resturants had a large selection of food which was all yummy! We were slightly worried about the food as my partner is quite picky, but we had no problems. The movies on the beach where a great touch at night. The Adults only area was great and the Wave pool bar was fantastic for meeting people and having a good laugh. The bar staff at that bar cant do enough for you either. All in all we had a hassel free holiday, had lots of fun and will return to Mexico in the future.
We have just returned from 2 weeks of pure relaxation and indulgence, the hotel is a short bus trip from the airport and we were met with cooling cloths and a glass of champagne! The room we were allocated was very spacious with 2 oversixed double beds for 3 of us. The jacuzzi is also in the room with lots of bubbles.....The shower room was spacious and had a rainfall shower, the room also included a widescreen tv, ipod dock and mini-bar, that was basic only having soft drinks, water and beer, but was restocked daily. The rooms were kept clean and tidy and the fold down service in the evening was a nice touch. We tried all restaurants and they were all really good, but our fav was the italian, the waiters were all full of character and made it an ejoyable experience ensuring you knew what you were ordering. All the staff were fantastic from the maid service, to the poolside waiters to the guys who constantly cleaned the pool area. Everyone of them had a smile on their faces regardless of what they were asked to do. We went to the adult only restaurant one evening and one of us is a very fussy eater but we both managed to thoroughly enjoy the experience - it is well worth it, but may not be for everyone. Our son loved it from start to finish. Making friends from Canada, America and home -he regularly dumped us to go with them. the Kids Entertainment team was the best we have came across and even sat with the family for lunch, they kept you going if that is what you wanted to do, but we wanted relaxation and we got it in abundance. We never chose any excursions (try the guys in the towel booths first as they were a lot cheaper) as we wanted to do nothing but relax and although the hotel was not as big as what we thought it would be, but we never got cabin fever...The bars provided us with an excellent supply of cocktails and shots, the swim up bars are great with the adult only one being the best for cocktails!! For this being our first sensatori experience and reading reviews from the other 2 resorts, this is by far the best!!!! The only downside was over the last few days as the hotel got busier, sunbeds were harder to get and security guards began to remove towels and items from the beds before 8am if you were not actually sitting on them. We would recommend this hotel to couples and families as all are well catered for. We will definitely return to this hotel, and we have never been to the same place twice it was so good.
From start to finish our holiday at the azul sensatori was perfect. On arrival we were greeted with champagne whilst our luggage was taken to our room. Room was gorgeous, added extras of queensize bed, jacuzzi, flat screen tv and ipod dock really made a difference. The bed and pillows gave us the best sleep weve ever had. Fresh towels are supplied everyday and rooms were cleaned twice a day with shower gels and so on being refilled. Mini bar is also filled everyday. View was beautiful. Food was perfect. Our favourite restaurant was sienna however all of the restaurants were nice. Yes the beach has seaweed afterall it is a beach, but the staff work around the clock to keep it clean. Waiters constantly bring drinks to the poolside for you as well as the beach. The best holiday weve ever been on and we will def be goin back. The only downfall of hotel is the on site shop is very expensive. We went on the dolphin trip whilst we were there which included a catamaran trip, a visit to a local village, snorkling and swimming with the dolphins all for $130, it was definatley worth the money and well recommended!! Chichen itza was also a really good day, whilst on this trip we swam in a fresh water sink hole which was fantstc. Im sure that anyone who visits this hotel will also have an amazing time!!
