Our first visit to Sharm. We stayed at the Jaz Mirabel Beach, Staff were great right from the Start, The accommodation and food are first class, whilst the service in the bars can be slow, the staff are friendly and remember your on holiday so chill. We done two trips, one the VIP Cruise (a must for a great day out) 100% recommended, 2nd trip was the Quads, again a great day out and well worth it. Its a shame there are some issues with the jetty on the beach by the hotel, which means you couldn't go out to the waters edge (about 1/2 a mile) but this didn't spoil the time we spent on the beach, which is kept very clean and there is a small area near the beach to snorkel. Everyone want's a tip in Egypt, so take some pound coins with you which are gratefully received. There are 3 additional restaurants on the site, you can visit one of these free of charge during your stay, we went to the Italian which was great and we were well looked after by the staff. The main road out side the Jaz Mirable looks rough, with building rubble and rubbish, but look past this, its 100% save and we had some great walks out. Would like to think we will 100% return to Egypt.

Well laid out gardens and pool area, in a lovely setting, Hotel lovely, clean and with the friendliest and helpful of staff. We found the food to be of a poor quality and also very undercooked vegetables, overcooked meat (tasteless) but with a huge variety of salads. Fruit was either overwhelming or non-existant, but of good quality. We were pleased with the low capacity of people, as we are sure the dining areas would not be able to contend with a 'full house'. The long trouser only dining was a godsend as it was nice and quiet in the evenings for adults to dine. We noticed only a very few nationalities other than British and this also was rather nice , for a change. The others being Italian, French and Scandinavian! Would we return? No, unfortunately we did not like the beach area we found the whole beachfront area disappointing, the sand was awful, we did not like the lagoon and have issues with the lack of fish swimming locally although the water was clear we were surprised by the small number of fish. Unlike, Taba Heights, a favourite with us, the experience was poor. We will still return to Egypt but will avoid Sharm el Sheik in future. We do hope the visitor numbers gain strength as the people of Egypt deserve our support.
