My husband and I came to this hotel with our two 11 year old children and all in all had a nice holiday, difficult not to when the beach is so lovely, and climate so great for swimming. The pools at the edges of the resort were very nice and the children enjoyed meeting other children here. However - the warnings of being careful about what you eat are very true - we had terrible stomach cramps for most of the two weeks spent there and my son was very sick and this was not from over indulging. Whilst the rooms were very spacious, they were basically equipped - with a very unpleasant (rusty) bathroom, dodgy air conditioning and delapidated furniture. Overall the hotel was set in beautiful grounds but has seen far better days and I felt disappointed in what 4 star means here. It is worth trying out the sunset sail trip (with snorkelling), the boat people are great fun and another highlight was going to the island of Saona, especially since it means seeing more of the Dominican Republic on the journey to where the boats take off.
