Had a brilliant time at the Blue Lagoon Resort, in my opinion the overall resort well deserves its 4/5 star rating for its facilities alone, there really is something for everyone. The food is great, pools great and the rooms are so clean and comfortable. Had a lovely massage in the Spa and the Spa pool was nice and warm on the one stormy day we had. As a couple with no children we made our way to the adult only pool on the first day but there was so much atmosphere at the main pool we decided to revert to the main pool everyday after that. This is a lot more of a family orientated resort than we realised when we booked, every evening there were 50 or so prams that lined up outside the main restaurant and there were excited kids everywhere, although if you really dislike kids it is possible to stick to the adult only areas. My only criticism of the resort would be that the road behind block 2 (between the resort and the beach) is a bit noisy, its not a busy road but you are aware of traffic noise, particularly early in the morning and late in the afternoon if you have the balcony door open. Location only a 5 mins bus ride/ 20 mins walk from the beautiful Kos town was great. We went on the Simply Kos trip and some of the areas we saw (in particular Kamari Bay which was seriously disappointing) just didn't live up to how pretty Kos town is. Generally the parts of the island we saw on the Simply Kos trip, with the exception of Zia and the Askleipion, are looking pretty run down. The resort is as big as some of the reviews say, it goes on and on, but there is always a buggy on hand if you don't fancy the walk, we didn't bother using one (other than for our luggage) as the resort is really pretty to walk around. Would definitely recommend Blue Lagoon Resort.

Well we arrived late at night 11pm and were greeted with chaos both at the hotel & airport. No vegetarian food available when we arrived just cheese & ham rolls extremely basic for a supposedly 5* hotel. Complained but no-one had access to any other food. Also complained about the rooms and the response from the manager on duty was if you book an economy holiday what do you expect! That was the final straw we paid alot of money (more than what the holiday is worth) Had to change rooms 3 times finally settling in a 4th room at 2am! Rooms were extremely basic, only have one drawer & 6 coat hangers between 3 adults I would say 3* standard at best. Be careful when booking in the annexe as it is like a completely different hotel regardless of what they say. Food in restaurants were quit basic and not much choice. Barely any desserts unless you like ice cream! Again not what you expect from a 5* or a 4* as Thomson sell it as. The one good part was the Crepe Station we went several times a day. Location is very isolated nothing around at all to do. Can get bus into Kos Town but then once you've been once there is little point going back. The beach is across a road and not really very idylic there are pebbles so maybe take some of those water/diving shoes to wear if you want to go to the sea Extremely over priced for what we paid and I will definatley not be returning. Also Kos Airport is horrendous so be warned. I don't normally write negative reviews but after visiting here I felt the need to warn people what to expect.

We really enjoyed our holiday to the Blue Lagoon Resort. The hotel was lovely and clean the rooms were comfy and the staff really kind and helpful. The kids club and the kids reps were great with the kids. We have two children aged 1 and 3 years and they both had a brilliant time at the kids disco at the night time. The water park was great, there is plenty to do on the hotel complex.
