The best hotel choice I have ever made! If you like ultra modern then, this hotel is not for you! if you like comfort, classic style, and value for money then..... this is the one! Hotel Alisios is conveniently placed for a relaxing holiday, but a 10 min walk will take you into the old town of Albufeira.Quality and service at this hotel is top notch! Thompson tour rep Pete Lashmar is an asset to the tour company! nothing is too much trouble! Previous reviews I read complained about the pool being indoor, for me it was a bonus... had it all to myself!! A lovely beach on your doorstep and lots of restuarants to choose from, but food in hotel was excellent. My stay was so relaxing and I was looked after so well by staff I intend to revisit in May 2014

This is one if the best hotels I have ever stopped at. The staff were courteous and extremely well trained. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent. Location was superb, in between the new and old town and on the beach. Good weather was a bonus.

We arrived in Portugal looking forward to a relaxing week in the Algarve. We were not disappointed. The hotel had a fantastic location overlooking the beach and only a short walk away from the old town of Albufeira. We had upgraded to a sea view room and it was worth every penny. The hotel staff were always polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The whole place was spotlessly clean, bedding and towels were changed regularly. Breakfast was served between 8.00 and 10.00 and was buffet style with plenty of choice-fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, meats, various breads and rolls, croissants, jams and cake. There was always scrambled egg and bacon available but if you asked you could get fried or boiled eggs as well. Our aim as a couple was to relax and chill out for a week and we certainly achieved that-plenty of places to walk to- the marina , shopping areas and other small beaches nearby and lots of opportunity to sit and relax in restaurants overlooking this beautiful coast or on the beach. Mission accomplished and we look forward to returning !

a last minute holiday which was well worth the visit took us to the alisios hotel in the algarve its a smashing little hotel well positioned forthe old town with its wide array of places to eat and a lovely long soft sanded beach i live on the south west coast and just wish our sand was like this. there are lots of little coves/beaches which we prefered mainly due to the shelter from the breeze that picked up each afternoon at this time of year saying that the temperatures were surprisingly hot. the hotel is small and friendly but very proffessionally run. the bathrooms have all been upgraded aswell as the bedrooms so we were very comfortable and the shower was powerfull the only downside and it really is the only one was the absence of a outdoor swimming pool the indoor pool is not accessable from the terrace so you dont really use it which is a shame as its very nice with the jaccuzzi alongside . The beaches more than compensate for it though so why am i moaning? The staff are very good and speak english well. You can do bed and breakfast like us and either eat out in the evening in town or partake in the hotel food and themed nights Breakfast is nice plenty of bread cheese cold meats hot eggs bacon or omlettes all in all it was a good experience in a quiet hotel operating to a higher standard than its official rating.
