We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Villa Michelle, it was large, well equipped and in a quiet residential area within walking distance of the marina and the old town of albufeira. We enjoyed use of our own private pool for chilling out during the day and walked into town during the evening. We found it exactly as the brochure said. Well done Thomson!
Absoloutly loved the holiday to Portugal.. The villa was stunning and had some amazing views. The stairs are abit dangerous if they get to wet and there are alot of steep hills to climb to get into the town ect but apart from that i had the best time here! we took full advantage of all the activities including the water parks and swimming with the dolphins.. The restaurants where lovely and the nightlife was banging (if you like that sort of thing) if not the old town is great for shopping, eating and just generally browsing! There is also alot of entertainment on the streets i.e. mime acts ect... The beach was packed every day and was very difficult to get a sunbed as people pre book days in advance, but the villa was so amazing there wasnt to much of a need to go down to the beach (besides that the beach is the best place to top up the tan)!!! All in all my trip to Villa Michelle with my family and boyfriend was amazing, we had a brilliant time and would not hesitate to go back!
Just got back from Villa Michelle. The Villa was very spacious. The only down side was that the double room on the first floor did not have any wardrobes. The two twin rooms on the ground floor are a good size these lead out onto a fantastic sized pool with excellent facilities, comfortable sunbeds. Unfortunately the bbq is around the other side of the house shame this is not located near to the pool where it could be enjoyed by all the gang to include the chef. We went with a one year old and a two year old. The steps which lead from the ground floor bedrooms to the first floor bedroom and then up some more steps to the kitchen and living room are a bit scarey to say the least - could do with a hand rail attaching to the wall for safety. They were the only real down sides to the villa. It was cleaned three times a week by a very lovely lady, the three bathrooms are very clean and spacious, the kitchen again clean and quite well catered for. In respect of the location of the Villa a bit of a walk to the Marina with not a real lot to see or do apart from a boat trip, Vilamoura Marina much better. The Villa was quite a walk away from the Old Town - not too bad for my husband and I who had two buggies but difficult for older parents as a bit of a steep walk. Arts Bar nearer to the Villa very good, nice owner and staff also restaurant next door to the bar well worth a visit, the staff and quality of food is excellent - a three course meal for four with drink approx 120 Euros but excellent food. If I were to book again would find somewhere nearer to the Old Town and also a property more suitable for younger children - would be great for anybody with older children or group of friends. Overall really enjoyed the villa and holiday.
We have just arrived home from villa michelle after a fantastic family holiday and would not hesitate to return! We found the villa clean and comfortabe, although we did have two toddlers and had to be cautious with some of the stairs and raised areas. After a short ten minute walk to the nearest restaurant over the hill we were not disappointed! A lovely little place called Prima Pasta was delicious, very reasonably priced and very well catered to the family, they couldn't do enough to help. We took full advantage of the BBQ and the lovely views from the pool. Overall a wonderful holiday!
