On arrival at the Hotel the staff were very welcoming and friendly the Reception area was nice. As we entered the room i could see it was very basic, not the impression i got from the Thomson video clip there is only a small shower in the bathroom so beware bathers. The Superior rooms are all pool facing but only get the sun in the morning, but they do have large balconys with Sunloungers on them, tea and coffee facitlies but no Fridge. The T.V.s in the rooms never had a clear picture to watch and you have to pay if you want the remote ? The pool area is well furnished and the Sunloungers are comfortable, but not really enough, however i am told this is to be extended soon. The staff are all friendly and the atmosphere is good. If it is anyone's Birthday they do provide a cake and Champagne and sing Happy Birthday at the evening meal which was nice. It was our 30th Wedding Anniversary and my work colleagues and myself had requested Champagne four times to celebrate on the 10th June and nothing happened till after the event so beware organise your own celebration i was so disappointed it spoilt the rest of the evening and holiday really. That was due to the Thomson Rep and one member of staff who could'nt be bothered.Overall an enjoyable resort and Hotel for people who like a small and friendly type of holiday. The beaches are small but we had no trouble getting a sun bed, but that could be the time of year, plenty of resturant type bars and one or two cabaret bars if you like it a bit more lively you can easily access other resorts by bus taxi or boat if you wish.
but will not be the last ! A very welcoming hotel/Staff. Greeted with a lovely cocktail on arrival too. Rooms were cleam comfortable and tastefully decorated. Food was on the whole very good, plenty of options every night and never seemed to rubn out of anything either. The only Gripe for me is, i wish there had been a "Local" dish on the menu each night so we could try things out. The pool area was well layed out but there was the age old problem of "Sunbeds At dawn" if you know what i mean. We didnt get into that and if all the beds had "Gone" we used a nearby public pool with beds, parasols and toilets all in for a very modest price. The resort was not too noisey but it was only late May. i think it could get lively in July/Aug. There was a English run/themed Bull bar next door to the hotel. This can be loud at times but never for too long or too late. We will deffinately be returning to this resort and hopefully this hotel too.
we stayed here for two weeks may/june,excellent staff,a mention here for michael on the reception desk, nothing too much trouble for him and a lot of the guests commented on this. The food was very good and the rooms were of a good size.Just a couple of complaints, bin collection approx 5am, so if your a light sleeper book a room at the front of hotel facing the pool and not the rear, and the shower head wouldn't stay on the wall when turned on.Would i go back, yes nice resort, nice people, great hotel.
We stayed at the Paraiso Beach and everything was as described in other reviews which is what made us decide to stay there. We work hard and decided we wanted a holiday just for relaxation, which is what we got. Staff at the hotel cannot do enough to help you and have never stayed at a friendlier hotel. Juan never stops working and smiling. The only downer of our holiday was that previous reviews stated the food was excellent, although I wouldn't say we were particularly fussy, we did not find the food that good.
This hotel may be small but it has a big heart. The reception staff, Marianne, Jacqueline and Michael, greet you with a warm welcome and a cocktail (which is a nice touch.) The food is lovely. It is plentiful and varied. There is something for everyone. The lounge and bar area is comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in a superior room on the fifth floor. You have a balcony and terrace with sun loungers. You have a very good view of the sea and hills of Es Cana. It is lovely to sit and relax and enjoy the afternoon sun. The pool area is quite small, which I know some people had a problem with. But there are a couple of nice beaches in Es Cana and the water is safe to swim in. The entertainment in the hotel was varied and entertaining. Juan the restaurant and bar manager, was as entertaining as the acts on the stage. The hotel was spotless and this is down to the maids and other staff, who were always busy. This was our first time to this hotel but it will not be our last. If your looking for a hotel that has the personal touch, then this hotel is for you. Thank you all at the Paraiso for a wonderful stay.
