We had a great time, the villa is very clean and the owner will make you feel very welcome. only 1 small issue with the oven the temp, readings on the oven can not be seen so you have to guess what temp, you may have it on. But as you are on holiday just eat out there is a lovely restaurant at the end of the road you must try. It could also do with a micowave. We called at 5 beaches and found all very clean and lovely sands. All had a snack bar with toilets and showers if needed.
A car is a must... We hope to go again very soon.
I booked a villa holiday because I wanted privacy. At this villa you will not get that. The villa owner lives next door and although pleasant, she cleaned the villa 3 times in our weeks stay (even making the beds) and the pool every other day. If I had booked a hotel, then I would have expected this, but the whole point of booking a villa was for privacy. As previous reviews have said, she does also move your things around to where she thinks they should be! The villa itself was fine but quite basic. The kitchen IS rustic and very ill equipped and as the numbers have rubbed off the cooker it was difficult to get the temperature right! Also, the DVD player didn't even work. I would be wary if you are taking children, as I thought the naked pictures on the walls of the bedrooms were quite inappropriate! You also cannot use the room upstairs with the balcony, as this is blocked off. The pool area is lovely and there is an outdoor shower which is really handy. The villa is not within walking distance of anything but a restaurant called O Chalet. We had tuna salad which was lovely, but we did not find the owners friendly at all. We had a lovely meal at Casa de Fonte in Albufeira. The restaurant has a large lemon tree growing in the middle of the beautiful courtyard and the staff are fantastic. I'd recommend a trip to Zooland and for 15 euros you can stroke a dolphin and get your picture taken. Also the bone chapel in Faro and a walk around the old town - fantastic view from the top of the church. I would never go back to this villa, but I would go back to Portugal.
We stayed in this villa end of august/beginning of September and felt it was too small for 6 adults and a baby. There is very little space to put your clothes as most of the drawers are filled with the owner?s linen and odd personal items of clothing as well, as plenty of personal items in the lounge and kitchen leaving very little space. She also likes to move other peoples things to where she wants them, it feels very much like the owner is living with you and we found her to be very rude most of the time even to the point of shouting at my daughter. There was no microwave as had been shown in the video prior to booking so was difficult for the baby with warming food milk etc and also no washing machine. There were also a lot of cats around most of the time. There was nothing in the area apart from one restaurant near the villa called o chalet, which was really nice with great food and a lovely young couple with a baby that owned it, we would highly recommend this restaurant. We would definitely not recommend this villa.
Tres Palmeiras is a quaint villa in the middle of a collection of villas in an area called 'vale de ursa'. The villa is quite comfy for upto 4 people although I feel a bit small for anymore. There are 2 twin bedrooms and 1 double, with 2 seperate bathrooms. The pool is clean and warm with sunloungers around the edge. We also encountered a group of cats who will always wander around but really cayse no harm and are scared away if you go to touch them. The villa owner lives next door and she always appears at 7 o'clock to tidy up outside and clean the pool. It's about 5 minutes drive to Albufeira and the shops, and about 5 minutes drive to the nearest beach. We had no problems with ants or mosquitos, and all in all had a great stay in the villa.
