I went with my partner, mother, my 9 yr old nephew and 3 yr old niece and we could not have picked a better place for a family holiday. Alykanas Village is situated right next to the beach with four pools, one of which overlooks the beech/sea. There are plenty of shops/restaurants only a short walk away. The kids club on the complex are excellent and the staff are great. We went there in October so about 50% of the shops/restaurants were closed but there are so many, we still had more than enough to choose from so never eating in the same place twice. I am vegetarian and found every restaurant had more than enough options for me. We didn't do any of the excursions with the travel operator but did hire a car for four of our seven days and toured the island ourself, stopping off at the odd beach on the way (there are sooo many). I recommend the Blue Caves - we negotiated with them and got our family of five a one hour boat ride around the caves for just 10 Euros!! We also took the horse drawn carriage to the Lemon Tree restaurant which for 5 Euros is a bargain. Beaches are clean, the sea is very clear and warm. Locals are very friendly and polite and unlike other countries, never pester you. For our trip it rained for one day but earlies 70s/20s for most of the trip however does get cold in the evening so I would recommend warm clothes for the night time. I would recommend this holiday to anybody with children and anybody who doesn't mind being around children. We will definatley be going back in a couple of years.

Just got back from 2 weeks at Alykanas Village in Zante. The weather was good apart from 2 days rain which cleared the air and then it was scorching. Not a lot to do in Alykanas town but you don't need anything else once you discover the joys of the entertainment team at the hotel.

The Hotel staff are a bit miserable but the maids are friendly and keep the rooms spotless.

There is a small supermarket and a snack bar on site which are very reasonable.

Our holiday party consisted of 2 Adults, two 17 year old girls, a 13 year old boy and 2 tots age 4 and 5.

There was something for everyone including 3 pools and the beach is literally down the steps from one of the pools.

Our tots were kept amused from 10-12 giving us a break for a couple of hours while the girls sunbathed by the pool and the 13 year old went playing in the pool or taking part in the regular activities with the entertainers.

At night we were entertained with various live shows and battle of the sexes games. Also, an excellent 80's night and a show performed by all the entertainers.

The highlight of our holiday was meeting the entertainers but especially Boogie Baz, Just Jason, Russell and Jovaltine who really made our holiday special.

Just Jason is absolutely hilarious!!

We made loads of new friends who we are looking forward to keeping in touch with.

So if you want a brilliant family holiday that's loads of fun we highly recommend Alykanas Village!!!

Just returned from Alykanas Village with my husband and daughter and could not fault anything one bit! The reps were fantastic, big thank you to Boogie Bazz the guy is a born entertainer and great with the kids and Diva Dannii whom my daugher (9) totally adored, Sparkly Steva and Clairy Fairy were bothl great. Would definetely reccomend this resort, been to Ibiza superfamily holiday twice and thought that was great but would have to say loved Zante. The accomodation and the Village itself was excellent staff very friendly apart from the bairmaid in the venue who was not very happy but maybe she just had a bad week!! Would have preferred clean towels everyday but not going to moan as the holiday was so good. As it was end of Season some bars and restaurants were closed but still there were lots to choose from and the locals in the shops and restaurants were very friendly and found it much cheaper than Spain. There a few cats roaming about. Enjoyed the horse and carraige ride was such a treat for the kids. Would certainly return but my daughter wants to go where Boogie Bazz and Diva Danii are going!!!... So thanks again to all the reps who made our holiday so good.xx

Got back on the 8th Sept after a brilliant 2 weeks at the Alykanas village. Fantastic place for kids, the reps were great, especially, beanbag russ, joveltine and boogy baz. Best place for evening entertainment was the Dilemma bar, with loads for the kids to do, playstation, wii etc. The cosy corner was lovely for meals as was the Levante and Stonebridge do the most amazing gyro's for 2 euros. Daytime entertainment was plentiful but you dont have to join in if you dont want same with evening. Rooms were large enough for what we wanted with plenty of utensils, microwave, toaster and kettle. The trip to the water park was brilliant as it was on a sunday and not too busy and you must take the little train trip into the mountains, plenty of free wine ensures all a good time.
