Second visit to Brayka Bay. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean. For such a large hotel we never found any area to be too crowded, due to the layout. Always beach beds to be found. We love the fact that you can walk straight from the beach into the sea and a few yards out to be able to see fish & coral. The only downside from our previous visit is the fact that the coral reef has been cordoned off with ropes due to the fact that ignorant visitors have obviously no respect and have been walking on, grabbing & killing the coral (we saw this happen whilst we were there)! We met some really nice folks whilst there. We didn't have any problems with other nationalities. Our Rep Laura was superb and nothing was too much trouble. Marsa Alam resort itself is very rugged & barren, However, we booked an 'away from it all relaxing holiday', which is exactly what we got. The restaurant catered for every taste. My husband can be quite fussy with no spices, herbs, pepper etc., but had plenty of choice. He even managed a roast lamb & minty gravy meal one evening. This is our first all inclusive holiday and we found the ease & convenience of this service to be excellent. The swim up bar was another first for us and very appreciated in the hot Egyptian sun. We found a leisurely afternoon spent sipping Gin & Tonic ('Tiffen') very enjoyable with good company. All in all, a very enjoyable holiday.
We have just retuned from our 2nd visit to Braka Bay (last one was Sept 2010) We recieved a very warm welcome from the staff on the front desk and we were even allocated the same room as before, and found fruit, flowers & a welcome back card in it. (we requested a room in the same vacinity by e.mail). The well established gardens are very well maintained as is the pool and the beach which is extremely child friendly. Snorkling is amazing and if you are lucky you might see turtles, reef sharks octopus as well as much more marine life. We had 3 massarges each in the wellness centre, which is very professionaly run, so don't be shy, you won't be disappointed!! The food in the buffet restaurant is excellent, varied and plentiful and if like me your weakness is deserts then you will be in heaven. All the staff worked tirelessly to make our stay truly wonderful. We will definately be going back to Our Little Piece of Paradise.
this was a real find, it was clean, friendly fantastic beach, really friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. i returned relaxed, tanned and feeling great.
Hotel was really quiet after all the troubles, (think everyone was frightened away!) which was great as we could chill out.
Food above average compared with other Hotels in Masa Alam. (Fifth time to Marsa) and the Gardens at the Brayka bay are to die for, they are so beautiful.
Snorkeling not so good in the bay due to sediment but further out it Coral was really fantastic. Wet suits a must in March it's cold! Entertainment 2 out 10 but then I didn't go for this.
Recommend the Quad bike tour from the hotel good fun.
