I have to say this holiday was the best I have ever been on. I was so relaxed. The Villa Angela staff were welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The location was amazing all rooms faced Mount Etna, it was lovely enjoying breakfast on the terrace just looking at it. As the hotel was small it made a change getting to know all the guests, we all spoke to each other and in fact on some occasions had drinks in the bar in the evening. It truly was just what the doctor ordered, a beautiful place, I really did not wnat to leave. I am not a person who would revisit a place once been but I would certianly go to Villa Angela again.

We stayed at the Villa Angela at the end of October, and although the weather wasn't great the hotel was very good. It is quite a small hotel, with very pleasent rooms all facing Mt Etna, but it wasn't crowded at that time of year. The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful, with the hotel shuttle bus (down to the town) being a real boon. The hotel location, above the town, would be excellent in the summer, but could be a problem for the less mobile in the off-season, when shopping, rather than relaxing by the pool would be the norm. The hotel did serve dinner twice a week and this was good, but the breakfast fayre was less exciting. Overall a nice quite hotel with excellent staff.

Beautiful resort , stunning views from excellently run and staffed hotel , pity that weather was against us slightly.Would return to same hotel again but earlier in year to make most of excursions etc.Would have liked trip up Mt Etna,but low clouds made it a waste of time,on the plus side restaurants are fantastic and you could eat out every night at a different one and not be let down for at least a month.Overall the holiday was very enjoyable,not least because of the hotel itself,reccomend it highly !

This hotel is a great place if you want a small hotel that gives you peace and quiet. It has this in spades. There are views from every balcony and the room we had was plenty large enough. The breakfast is on the very basic size and has a limited choice, but that said it was still good. The coffee was of a good quality and plenty hot enough. The staff are all really helpful and willing to pass on places to eat or visit. They all have a pleasant smile and willingness to help not matter how. Just ask! The shuttle bus service is a real bonus but you have to pay locally for this, it cost us 20 euro each. The holiday through thomson's did not include this in the overall price, but worth paying as taxis are pricey. We enjoyed our time here and would go again.
