This was our second visit to the 'Alice Springs' and was pretty much the same as last year! Excellant hosts, food and accomodation! Any one who has not stayed here should really try it! George and Barbara were great as usual so was Elias and Rita and the girls who keep our rooms spotless. We met up with friends from last year and I also counted no less than 9 couples from last year so that should tell you something!! Do not miss the famous BBQ or Kleftiko night. Do try the fish taverna in the harbour- gorgous!! Also the Sunset and blue phoenix in Lampi for fabulous pound piling deserts!!!! We did Zia agian its such a great night but watch out for 'dodgy roger' as we like to call him! no seriously he's a great rep with a good knowledge of kos and that is one excursion to book. This year we did a boat trip to the 3 islands with marianne on the karolina it was fab, relaxing and fun and they really treat you well. We always have a great time here and wouldn't stay anywhere else, you cant beat it. one thing I have learn't from all this is Respect the Owner so I have loads of respect for Barbara!!!! They truly do make a huge difference to your holiday and I only hope they continue to do so for many more holidays to come. Going back? You bet! Many thanks to you all at the Alice for a wonderful time yet again.

We have just arrived back from a weeks holiday at alice springs, no not australia but kos town Greece. What can we say that other people haven't said already it was brill.George, Barbara, Rita and the rest of the family we met were an absolute pleasure, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The Accommodation was Spotless although we were on a room only basis the rooms were still cleaned daily with fresh towels. BBQ night is not to be missed can't say anymore as we have been sworn to secrecy. George's Kleftika night is not to be missed also. We did do a day trip to turkey for a turkish bath and will certainly be going back next time we are in kos, but only for the baths. Could carry on typing all day but we would just say go try it and you wont be disappointed.

If you want a fun filled holiday in a hotel run by a joker then Alice Springs is for you, on the other hand if you want to be treated like a number rather than a member of the family then go elsewhere. Gearge and his family treat you as part of it. As soon as you arrive you will be called by your name (How he can remember you all is beyond me). Even though you see George rushing about for what seems 24 hours a day he still has time to stop and chat to everyone, his wife Barbara, sister Rita, son Ilias and daughter in law Maria (now with little Barbara) all work very hard to make you feel at home. The bar food available is superb and served from 8am till late. If you like your breakfast then try The Alice Springs breakfast ..... Toast, 2 eggs, sausage, beans, bacon (tastes like honey glazed), juice and tea or coffee and for diner try Georges home made Mousaka, its superb!!! If you want to eat out there are plenty of places to choose from within walking distance or ask George to recommend somewhere. If you need a hire car then again ask George or Barbara and they will arrange it for you, free delivery and collection from the hotel, or for you bike fans there is a rental centre near by that hire out trikes! All in all we had a wonderfull time which is down to such wonderfull hosts. We will be returning at the end of season to see the family! George has even offered to sort out our wedding plans for us ... What a star! See you soon George, Barbara, Rita, Ilias, Maria, Little Barbara, the dogs and last of all Alice the Turtle.

We stayed at the Alice Springs Hotel last week (May 2007). We had such a good time, we felt we had to write a review as soon as we got back home. On our arrival we were made to feel so welcome by George, Barbara family, nothing was too much trouble this didnt change at all throughout our stay. The hotel had such a nice atmosphere was very clean and tidy. The Kleftico evening was not only fantastic food but a lovely social evening aswell. Unfortunately we missed Georges infamous barbeque but apparently, judging by the comments of other guests, that was excellent as well. We never go back to the same place twice but we are sorely tempted to return to the Alice Springs Hotel. Oh and Ritas Alice Springs Grill is a must. Thanks again.

George Barbara and all the family are sooo nice and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is immacutely clean, sheets changed regularly and towels changed everyday. Do not miss the BBQ fabulous night, Kleftiko night is also a must, book early for both, you will not be disappointed. Best Hotel I have stayed in while visiting KOS.
