what can i say future holiday guests,me and my partner lynne have stayed at this hotel for the last 2 years. It is now may 2009 and we are returning for a 10 day stay on the 20th of june 2009.We normally have 3 holidays a year, all stopping at thompson represented riu hotels. But we have made this hotel a top priority for a must have holiday break. To us it is fabulous and have refered the hotel to a few of our friends who have actually gone and booked and stayed here.So make sure you you enjoy yourselves, also notes to take into consideration if you want to save money on drinks have a walk round to the top of the resort there is two or 3 bars which offer nice beers and wines at a competive price. But i stress do not get drinks in the last bar on the right hand side as you walk down the hill to the beach just before the italian pizza restaurant, because they will rip you off when you come to pay your bill.hope we have helped future travellers in there stay at this hotel.regards steve and lynne

Just returned from a wonderful holiday at Riu Palace. Hotel is spotless. Plenty of cleaners continuously cleaning throughout the day. Restaurant, bar and Reception staff very friendly and professional and cannot do enough for you. Arrived to glass of Champage and staff take your cases to your room. Pool area beautiful clean accept for seagulls swooping later in the day!! Towel exchange excellent idea and means you always have clean towels for the pool. Food excellent and spoilt for choice. Does get a bit repetitive after a week but where doesnt?? My only gripe is the entertainment very poor and price of drinks expensive in Hotel. A glass of wine 5 euros. Beach beautiful and not crowded after you have climbed the 154 steps to reach it !! Definately would recommend and return again.

We have just returned from the Riu Palace Hotel, This was our second visit and we will probably return next year, The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic, in fact we were spoilt for choice. The beaches are very clean and accessible via some easily managed steps. The restaurant on the beach, the one nearest to the hotel is very good for lunchtime snacks. We walked down every day to the beach through the village and sat at one of the little cafes for a coffee and some delicious orange cake and watched the fishing boats come in with their catch. My husband managed to leave his camera in a taxi and the reception staff with great tenacity rang all the taxi firms in the area and located the taxi and the camera. What wonderful service.I have travelled around the world and stayed in many hotels and this is definitely one of the very best

Olhos D'Agua is almost like a Cornish fishing village with it's main street sloping down to the sea, although not picturescue, the sea front and beach were fine and clean. Work was going on down the main street to develope new shops and apartments but this was only on a small scale and was not a problem and I suspect will be concluded within a couple of months. We stayed at the Riu Palace (16th April) as platinum guests on a half board basis. The hotel although out of the way is excellent, but is spoilt by rather over firm beds, pools that are just too cold to use and dining that leaves much to be desired. If you don't mind the scramble of buffets in the company of a majority of German guests who have no idea of 'after you old chap you were here first', then you might just about put up with the morning and evening scrum for salad and other cold food that shouldn't be. Hotel staff excellent, transfers excellent, rep excellent, flight staff excellent despite cattle truck conditions on aircraft. We won't be coming back to this hotel.
