Small, quiet and friendly. A good location away from the noise, but close enough to the harbour and waterside restaurants to walk - once the temperature dropped in the evenings!

Resort - The location is fine for walking into Bodrum town. No facilities to cook but food in Turkey is so well priced it pays to eat out! The fridge is only small but you'll be able to get water and a few other items in there. Air con is installed into the room too, cooled well and easy to operate. Local shopping facilities include two stores, so everthing is pretty much on the doorstep. Beaches - Beaches are stoney, but the sea in July was very warm and beautiful to swim in. Very clean too in the Bodrum bays. Restaurants - The Marina hosts some top restaurants with excellent food choices and great quality. Excursions - Pleanty to do in the area, can even visit the island of Kos. Waterpark is based in Bodrum/Gumbet too - great day out. Clubs/Bars - Found Gumbet to be more lively than Bodrum itself but having said that, the world famous 'open air club' in Bodrum was closed upon our visit - although I expect this to draw more people into Bodrum in the future. Really enjoyed Turkey!

Nice resort. Plenty to do and see. Went to Kos for the day. The only drawback was the queuing for passport control. Not very organised. Took ages standing in the hot sun.

Hotel was ok. I found that our key for our apartment actually fitted another apartment. Reported to rep but presume nothing was done as I didn't hear anything. Rep was not very available. Went to meet her one day but she had gone before the time told. Se did not make a point of meeting us. Having a first meeting in the middle of the day is not ideal as you want to go out and see the area, not hang around the hotel.

The showers in the hotel were cold unless you had one late afternoon. We also booked a twin room but got a double with a sofa type thing so one of us had to sleep on that. We were not able to have tea and coffee during the day although I think it depended on who you asked. We had to ask for toilet rolls all the time as the maid did not put them in the room.

The hotel was a short walk to the town which was fine but on a very busy road. Plus the

cockerells that seemed to crow all day and all night.

We found the Indian Summer to be a small and pleasant hotel conveniently situated for the resort attractions and the bus station. However, the friendliness of some of the staff was cancelled out by the morose and taciturn manager.Although the hotel had a very nice bar area none of the guests used it as the drinks were expensive, even when compared to prices in the bars and restaurants(also pricier than other resorts we have visited in Turkey). Our favourite restaurant was Alp Kaptan, 5 mins from the hotel. Places we particularly enjoyed were Pedasa,Gumusluk and Yalikavak (visit the abandoned village of Sandima, about a mile from Yalikavak bus station).Just about anywhere on the peninsular can be reached easily and cheaply by dolmus from Bodrum which serves as a hub for the area.
