hi all. stayed here in october. beautiful pools and colourful gardens surround the villas. the room was comfy and extremely clean on arrival except that the fridge had leaked all over the floor. however if you intend to use the self catering facility and cook breakfast , lunch and dinner for a family including kids, mess does get made and the cleaners did little about it. you are left with a dustpan and brush but following your kids about as they drop food, on your hands and knees was a bit difficult (and i was on holiday!) . cleaning depended on the cleaner and you could go 3 days without the floor being cleaned/swept. as a result we had ants in a big way. when i reported to reception they sent a can of spray round, but made no attempt to seal off anywhere, they were coming in from. reception staff responded to requests in a bit of a dismissive and cold manner, which was strange as the people out in the street and shops in corralejo couldn't be friendlier. the second bedroom also had mould and damp growing on the wall (caused i think by years of cooking condensation without adequate ventilation), but fortunately for us the front room had a sofabed so kids slept there. corralejo itself was lovely and the sand dune beach was stunning. the beaches of el cotillo were lovely too. i only booked oasis papagayo as i had an XL airways holiday that collapsed and thompson took the debt on and for another #250 i got this holiday. i was originally supposed to stay at Las Marismas hotel and i popped there and had a look (just to see if i was missing anything!) and i was!!!! the rooms were far superior and clean. the hotel was virtually brand new and reception staff warm. but the pools at oasis papagayo are better. also the kids club at oasis was brilliant, 2 hours of free childcare for over 3 year olds daily. my daughter loved it. if you dont have kids go to las marismas, and if you do go to hotel suite atlantis which seems to have far better reviews than oasis on trip adviser but still has the kids club. fuerteventura was great, the people were friendly as i found out when my daughter had to visit the hospital in puerto del rosario. staff bent over backwards for us. in the end though the dirty room got me down, with the ants , and i wanted to go home. sad really, as not a cheap holiday.

Just back from Oct Week break; apartments very basic, very hot & not immune to the odd cockroach (we saw 3 in total, one on the ktichen worktop). Bed extremely uncomfortable-my back was killing me by the end of the week. The pool was baltic, although very clean & well-equipped with sunbeds. Also, arriving at night, it was difficult to find your room in such a sprawling complex-a little more help from reception staff would have been nice. In general, I found them a bit stand-off-ish. The reps were friendly & hard-working, but the activities at the pool were loud, especially if you wanted to chill out with a book & a drink. Not really our scene, although well done to Wayne, the guy who won practically every competition going. (My son commented that all you heard over the loud speaker was "And the winner is......WAY-Y-Y-NE!") The garden & cleaning staff were friendly, as were the resident cats, one of whom came back repeatedly for visits & food. Don't think I'd go back, although could be a bit spoiled having had our last holiday in Dubai where the standards are second to none. Would go back to Correlejo itself, which was lovely & quiet & family-orientated. Many good restaurants in town-food excellent value for money. Loved the Plaza Centre for food & service-especially the Italian restaurant. The submarine trip to Lanzarote was an experience, although pricey.

My holiday was just fantastic, its my 3rd time in corralejo since may 2007 and wouldnt dream of going anywhere else! My 3 year old son had an accident at the side of the pool and the staff at the hotel were fantastic, the thomson reps (frankie & lisa) were the best reps ive ever come across. The kids club is also very excellent. Well done thomson-especially the reps there!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a relaxing holiday, accommodation was good and clean. Being October it was out of season and very quiet. The weather had it all, sun, wind, rain and cloud. Top things were, relaxing, quiet, good entertainment, lovely restaurants near the harbour, sand dunes were amazing, and sea was just warm enough to swim in. Things that I thought could of been better were the swimming pools (very cold, kids splash pool was ok), the supermarket and bar were very expensive (small beer 3 EUR, and you have to get a taxi for a decent supermarket or restaurant), the water park was very expensive (23 EUR each), do not bother getting a T.V. unless you like Sky Sports.

hi all. Lovely gardens planted with colourful flowers and palm trees. Gorgeous pools, nice for toddlers too. Rooms a bit dated but spotless on arrival. Corralejo is lovely, the sand dune beach which is about a 10 min drive away is stunning. beaches at el cotillo are gorgreous too. prepare for the wind though with a mini beach tent. (in fact the wind is great as it keeps you cool and you get to watch people kite surfing in the sea and surfing). some of the beaches on fuerteventura are so deserted you could park a camper van nearby all summer......... alas, work calls!!! downside to it was that the cleaning once you are in the room depends greatly on the individual cleaner. sometimes you get the same cleaner 2 days in a row and the floor gets washed both days, other times a cleaner whips in / out and only changes towels. as we were self catering the floor did get crumbs of food on it and they only leave you a dustpan, and you would be on your hands and knees all holiday long cleaning after breakfast / lunch / dinner. The cleaners can go 3 - 4 days without sweeping/ washing floors and as a result by the second week we were invaded daily by ants. (reception sent around a can of spray , but made no attempt to seal up where they were getting in from. reception workers responded to requests but were rather distant). thereafter i started looking forward to going home where i can clean properly. (and escape ants). would def go back to fuerteventura but not to this hotel. kids club excellent though.
