Simply Beautiful. Beautiful Resort. Beautiful Villa. Beautiful Grounds. Excellent restaurant. You've got to go. In fact, Go now. Go home, Pack your bags. Leave the dog and kids and jump into a taxi to the airport. You'll thank me for it!. In-fact, take me with you. I'll leave the wife, kids and dog behind. Please take me. I wont be any trouble.

When we arrived after a two hour delay the car hire company has shut and even though we had asked Thomsons to sort a lift to the villa out before we left the UK this had not been done. So we had to pay a further 40 Euros to get us to a from the villa. The villa was clean and location perfect for us. Away from the noise but close enough to walk to the town.Things did not go well though as a number of problems arrose.First when when we tried to fill the spa bath we run out of hot water with only enough water in the bath to cover out feet. We had to wait another hour for more hot water and a few more inches of water but still not enough. So we gave up and pulled the plug out. The plug collapsed as we did this making the bath usles as it was no longer water tight. We reported this and never got it fixed. We then had very low water pressure for two days meaning we could not shower as the water was just not enough. So we had to use the second bath which took about an hour to fill at such a low pressure! The icing on the cake was being asked to leave the villa by 10am when our flight home wasn't till 8pm. We had paid for 7 days but where only allowed to stop in the villa for 6 1/2.Not good Thompsons.

" Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear that you experienced some disappointment during your holiday. We have spoken to the villa agency who has confirmed that there was a problem with the spa bath but that the maintenance staff repaired it without delay. Due to language differences, it is possible that the instruction for you to wait a full day before using the spa bath after the repair might have been misunderstood causing the plug to fall off as it was not yet dry. 10 o'clock is the normal check out time as advertised in our brochures and we recommend that you book a late check out if you have a late departing flight. "

A dream of a holiday.

From the moment I walked into the Alondra Villa I adored it, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and attention to detail was wonderful. It had an ironing board, iron, hairdryer. Washing machine, tumble dryer. Kitchen utensils, everything you could possibly need. The villas were well maintained and the complex was clean and very quiet. The privacy was lovely, its own pool with a high enough wall to maintain the privacy. The restaurant on the site was a little pricey but worth a 'treat'. I can only speak for myself, but I certainly going to book for next year, I have been spoiled with this holiday and any other will not match this one. Its a definate must for 2011!

The villa was fantastic. Own pool. more rooms than we needed. Hire car was vital to see and do more. The complex staff were very helpful and friendly. The only criticism was that the cleaners although the came regularly they only stayed for a few minutes. Hardly enough time to clean properly but that was the only criticism to a perfect holiday. Will return again

Very impressed with the standard of accommodation. Unexpectedly, the pool was cleaned daily and the cleaners visited every other day. Ideal for a family holiday with practical facilities (washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and cooker). Set in lovely gardens and very clean. All the staff were very helpful and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Very quiet with no passing traffic or building noise. Ten minute walk downhill to nearest supermarket which was well stocked. Twenty minutes to port and thirty minutes to main beach. Good selection of restaurants nearby to villa, all family friendly. Would recommed El Burro restaurant (Mexican) which is a ten minute walk away. Went on Volcano Express excursion which was very worthwhile and informative. Also, took trip to Teguise Market which guaranteed a seat on the coach rather than risking taking the free bus, which was extremely busy. The shopping centre had a very big soft play area suitable for children up to 12 years old, which although was 4 euros per child, for one hour was very good and safe. Also, crazy golf in the same complex. Plenty of taxis and buses nearby if you choose not to have a car. Overall, a very enjoyable holiday. Would return again.
